now that Gallas is with us, I fully expect Arry to finally dismantle the weak rightside partnership of Corluka and Dawson... Kaboul doesnt need to be backup for CB any longer as well as for RB...

Is it me, or we tried to play long ball 100% and forgot that we can pass through the middle!

I have no complaints! Wigan defended well and they denied us every effing cross we make! When i said every..

The whole game plan was..
1)Get the ball to the wings
2) Wingers get the ball as far as they can
3) Cross in it and hope for the best

WTF!! Harry this isnt CL Anymore! This is prem league where we can use our Hudds to pass through the middle and try to score like you did against STOKE!!!

if Wigan just packed their final third with all their players, theresd not much point going thru the middle.... what space there would have been would be out wide.... 16 corners in 1 game showed how dominant we were..

remember Stoke at home last year ??..... just 1 of those days that EVERY team will have this (and every) season...

I think it might just help Arry to get Levy to get the chequebook out tho.... even more ...

Clearly you have seen few chances where they didnt pack the middle and what did we do?

We gave the ball to Bale in hoping that he can run towards the line and cross instead of a killer through ball to defoe. After the goal they tried a few more of those killer pass but its too late really.
Im not saying crossing too much is bad but look if they pack the middle, Chances of us scoring from crosses is slim also because its almost impossible to get a decent run and jump to head the ball with so many bodies inside!

Sure there are sweet moments like when defoe got the ball in the middle and quickly turn and shoot but thats it after that. Urgh gutted that we lost but its still early in the season!

idelivering the ball from out wide is the best way of getting the ball into the penalty-area when the opponent just defends the box... trying to go thru the middle will just cause a traffic-jam..

we did the right ting, totally dominated the game as 16 corners will duly testify to... the ball just didnt end up in the net, we were v.unlucky on the day..

rather we got unlucky today then last Wednesday every single time...

PS - having a now championship-class GK surely didnt help either... and it showed exactly why we need better backup in the most important position on the pitch..

Ship pav on somewhere, bring in a new striker (Fabiano)

New keeper too. Cudicini was fairly rubbish there..

Thank god we still have time in the transfer market
COYS!
