Any deal with Villa will be incredibly hard to pull off while they have no manager. It doesn't send out a very positive message to any potential managers if they are off loading their best players whilst they have no idea who will be running the club. Also why would any of our players want to go to a club when they dont know who the boss is going to be ?

frankly thats laughable..

numerous respected, successful intl. coaches not currently working in the Prem would cut off their right testicle to be given the chance to coach in the Prem... especially with 1 of the bigger and historically renowned clubs like Aston Villa.... Tom Bradley and Uncle Sven (lock up your daughters) Ericsson are just 2 in the long queue..

they wouldnt care if Villa only had a gaggle of overgrown schoolkids and pensioners to base their 1st team squad on..

also, Spurs have many players to p/x which would ofset the perceived loss of quality in the squad with A.Young moving - Keano, Jenas, Bentley, Hutton are just 4 players we could swap-deal in any permutation needed...

it could/should be a win-win for both clubs re. any A.Young deal..

Oh yes silly me. Thanks for pointing that out. Any top manager would be glad to take over a team that is disposing of its best players and showing no desire to replace them. Why do you think O'Neil quit? It certainly wasn't because he was offered a huge transfer kitty. He could see the writing on the wall. Randy Lerner has played the long game he has taken Villa as far as he's prepared to and now he wants his money back. They will go into freefall they obviously have no team spirit losing 6-0 to the toon and surrendering at home in Europa League surely tells you that. Tom Bradley ? What experience does he have in club management that makes you think he is a top manager. Sven ? Do me a favour, he's never achieved much in The Prem not exactly the cream of the crop either of those and to be honest whoever comes in is going to have to make do with what he finds till January and thats if any funds are made available then. To expect Keane, Bentley etc to just dive happily into a train wreck waiting to happen is, as you would put it, frankly laughable. Just imagining the negotiation of personnel terms for 3 players who are being transferred seemingly against their will is enough to make you old before your time. We may well get Ashley Young, I hope we do he's a quality player, but I think it will be cash sales only please.

well yeah, as it so happens... there are plenty of coaches that would love to take over Villa, even if it was a train-wreck which it isnt... regular Europa League and challenging for Top4 is well good enough for a randy learner, and why shouldnt it be..

and Sven only had 1 go at club coaching in England and started off very well with City under Shinawatra's short tenure... it was only when the dodgy thai war-criminal failed to provide momentum in upgrading the team when Sven ran into problems, as the ownership issue was a huge distraction prior to Abu Hamza taking over the club..

not making Top4 is not a badge of shame and finishing as the 7th best team in the country is not failure for a club of Villa's status.... and about the right level for good but not great players eg. Keano, Bentley et al looking to play regular 1st team footy...

Epic fail for that post methinks Taimedowne.... why not you try again...

Would that be the same team that's challenging for 4th that has just been beaten 6-0 by a newly promoted side from the Championship!!
The same team that's going to be challenging for the Europa League after falling at the first hurdle this year to a less than great team!!
The same team that the Owner hasn't even bothered to look for a Manager yet so he dosen't have to pay any money out !!
Would Sven like a go at a team where he has no transfer budget, after you pointed out that the wheels fell off after he wasn't backed at Man Citeh !!
And by the way Gareth Aston Villa were the 6th best team in the country for the last 2 seasons!!

So once again you are spouting Bull just to be the centre of attention !!

I conclude that Taimedowne is right its a train wreck waiting to happen !!

Aston Villa also lost very early in last year's Europa League, and ended up challenging very well for Top4....

Sven or most other good coaches outside of the Prem would love to be invited to coach a top half club in the Prem, as its 1 of the highest paying leagues in the world for coaches, as well as 1 of the best leagues in the world..

you obviously have problems with logic and mathematics too I see.... just cos Villa sell a good player for silly money doesnt mean they cant be as good with a less' fashionable' player.... Stephen Ireland for Milner is a prime example of this...

if they sell Young too, they will probably end up with Keano AND Bentley from us, as well as a few million banked for others if they so wish to use it..

you really are very blinkered, I've now simply explained to you why/how Aston Villa may in fact be stronger this year or at least as good... no doubt you will have to see the proof next year before you can understand this..

Lerner is an intelligent guy, he realises he could lose alot of money competing with the recognised Top4, Citeh and Spurs for a CL spot.... so why not have it easier and settle for the tier just below that ??...

I dont think Arry will feel Jerome has te necessary box-office appeal to appease the fans who want their 'Hollywood signing'.... if not Fabiano, then Huntellaar may be possible as Ibrahimovic has just joined AC Milan on loan for a season..

seems Guiseppe Rossi is now in the frame too, from todays gossip...

I'd take Huntelaar or Fabiano over Rossi.

If you feel that way why did you start the frellin thread in the first place? ???
