you lot must be crazy if you think Messi would go to Blackpool cos of the seaside and the fun-fair.... Barcelona are on the Mediterranean and they also have regular C.League football too, which I think will be a major attraction for him...

he's not going to Blackpool.

Priceless!!  :2funny:

I think gareth, with that post, has just reaffirmed the level of intellect at which he is operating from. when he logs on the average i.q  on here drops by about 30%

That's real ITK stuff there, YidJoe. Make sure to pass it on, Gareth!

Pav for Jerome - fantastic. Good find buddy. I'm gonna hit TweetDeck right now!
He's strained his left adductor muscle it says. Whats that then ? Do we all have those or just footballers ? I wonder how mine are ? *courtesy of taimedowne*

I don't think Blackpool would be interested in swapping Jerome for Pavlyuchenko, I think we have to add Modric and King to pot, then Blackpool just might consider the deal.

lol, shows how much you girls know about fotball.... or even Spurs for thaty matter..

Jerome has a v.good strike-rate for 2 seasons with Brum now, playing for a defensive-minded team who just counter-attack mostly.... Arry has noted, and feels that he has the attributes he was looking Remy to provide us - can play as lone striker or even as a wide-attacker....

Pav is toast and we are just looking to offload, as no buyers have come forward we will be looking to trade him.... to make things even better, Brum were interested in buying Pav last year and therefore are open to this deal but its all hush-hush until Levy gets his primary striker-target Fabbo... Arry feels Jerome can play well with any of Fabbo, Defoe or Crouch - Pav has stricter requirements, and doesnt link well/ hold the ball/ work hard enough when not scoring....

expect this deal to happen right at the end of the window on Tuesday..

In all fairness Gareth, i don't think Cameron Jerome is that 'marquee' signing that harry Redknapp was talking about before the start of the window

Gareth, he plays just like Bent used to play. They utilize him as a poacher who hugs the line. What im afraid is that if he comes here i doubt he would be used like that. Bent has a similar record with Charlton but when he came here he was the target man through and through and that really didnt help him alot.

Unfortunately these kind of players wouldnt play their best with us. 'Arry prefers long ball than those killer through balls which split defenses.

The thing about Tottenham (The current squad) is that we rarely score with counter attacking (Albeit the 9-1 drubbing of Wigan). So unless we can utilize him to full effect, i doubt he would be better than Defoe.

hey Puchi.... respek

you just, totally  inadvertantly of course, hit the nail on its flat sorry head.... KBANG!!

despite our huge creative potential. In seasons gone,we seldom score goals consistently on the counter-attack ie. goals that extend leads.... especially away from home...

all the top quality sides have huge potential to score on the counter and teams are very reluctant to come onto them for fear of conceding on the counter... except when theyve played Spurs in the past... think: Berbatov and Keane in particular for 2yrs: great talent but little pace/athleticism to burst past advanced backlines and score on the counter..

Arry will looking to remedy this and by getting Jerome he will do just that - as well as recycle the underworked Pav....

Jerome is probably the most under-rated forward in the Prem, who has consistently played well by scoring and assisting in goals for a very average and ultra-defensive team... a hard thing to do when your team plays with 8 defenders mainly...

for under-rated: think Bale before Xmas 2009, and the ever-mentioned stat about Spurs never winning when he's started a game for us.... thats the position Cameron Jerome is in now. Time for Arry to swoop in and capitalise hugely on the bargain of the season...

PS - he doesnt need to be better than Defoe... we will need 4 strikers, and hopefully 2 who can play as a centre-forward who could play well on the counter... Defoe, Crouch, Fabiano and Jerome

Decent player, but no point reprinting every rumour you read, as thats all what half the tabloids do, just copy each others dribble word for word, Crouch isn't going, and unless we got someone really decent I doubt Robbie will go  too, after Harry's comments the other day, although he is a confusing bugger, and he has always said he doesn't want five strikers, and Robbie isn't going out on loan again, so two would have to leave, for two to come in, really can't see Harry changing half of his strike force. If you wanna report on romours Huntelaar has been thrown around again, this time a loan deal, because of the arrival of Ibrahimovic, which is a contradiction as Huntelaar is apparently being offered to Barca as part of the Ibrahimovic deal, plus cash, judging by Harry's interview on transfers after the awesome victory v Young Boys, really didn't sound like we would get anyone except Pletikosa on loan which Harry confirmed.

I actually think a deal with Celtic for Keano has already been agreed, but its private til we get a replacement nailed down..

as Defoe now is out for a month too, and Crouch being our only consistently good striker I think a deal for a nrew striker is almost a certainty..

at the very least, we will get someone like Iaquinta from Juventus (good allround tall striker with great intl experience) on a 1yr swap-loan with maybe Jenas..

someone will definately arrive by Wednesday... the possibilities for loans are too great not to do something..

a window of opportunity has suddenly opened up with the loss of Aston Villa from the Europa League...

A.Young is on the menu again, and a p/x deal for Keane + 1-2 others may be too good for Villa to refuse now.... maybe Jenas, Bentley and/or Hutton to be included ??

I think something big is on the cards, and it also looks like we may settle for Hunterlaar if, as seems likely, Ibrahimovic goes to Milan... seemd like Levy may have refused Fabiano deal after all (but appearances can be deceptive)...

certain move to Spurs:  Pletikosa as decent backup to Gomes (Cuddy doesnt qualify as that anymore)...
