Harry Eyes New Signings
« on: July 22, 2010, 08:21:31 AM »
Quote
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is looking to further bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

Spurs' last campaign saw them secure fourth place in the top flight, marking their highest ever Premier League finish and a result Redknapp feels the team can build on this season.

And the White Hart Lane manager believes the way to do that is to bring in several fresh faces.

"We need two or three players who can make the difference," said Redknapp.

"We've got a big squad, but I do feel we need just that little bit of quality in one or two areas if we're going to move on from where we were last year."

This is what i want to hear Harry... get some big names in already!

Adebayor anyone?

Now I read on another forum someone suggested the possiblity of signing Adebayor from City. I thought that could be a good signing...

I know what ya all guna say, x Gooner x gooner x gooner, but to be honest does he actully like Ars*nal anymore after his departure and the whole celebration fiasco last season, I maybe think not.

Secondly he has a great Premiership record for those toss pots with shed loads of EPL experiance as well as CL experiance. He also has all the attibuted to be a hit at the lane. Tall, quick, powerful, good in the air and an all round intelligent striker.

Would City sell him? Well, for the right price they sure would I reckon. Already with Tevez, Bellamy, Santa Cruz as attacking options add to that David Silva. So with a reasonable bid in the region of £15-£20 million I think Adebayor could be prised away.

What do you guys think?

And the fact that he "doesn't like Ars*nal anymore" makes it even worse. As if he would be coming to Spurs to spit in gooners' faces. Not very valid reason for me, to be honest. And as it has been reported more than once, he is a real c*nt as well. You don't go around headbutting your teammates and stomping on ex-teammates, no matter how c*nts they might be.

Not that arrogant f**k though. And if I'm not mistaken, he is a Spurs fan. Same goes with O'Hara too, I guess. Adebayor is only a fan of money.

I can see what you mean Dedley, think about it from the gooners point of view. Think about how we felt when Sol C*ntbell we to the scum, thats how they would feel. Now think about the North London derbies and how the scum would feel everytime Adebayor scored. If we were to buy him I would be quite happy.

Haha yeah Adebyor would surley give them gooner fans some stick if he scored in the derby for us.

Also be a better buy than Bellamy in my opinion. As Adebayor can play upfront on his own with his attributes he possesses.

Apparently Harry s having trouble convincing Levy that Bellamy is worth signing. Bring in Adebayor instead Harry!

Good player reportedly available for around 6m, not sure Ars*nal would be willing to sell to a rival or another EPL team, as he could come back to haunt them, he would have a point to prove, and I don't care that he played for Ars*nal, I would go as far as saying Ars*nal has been a top team for at least this past decade and that if we were buying first team players from them they ultimately would be good players.

Erm... Adebayor left Ars*nal for Man City last summer.

Of the Man City players reportedly available, I'd buy Wayne Bridge. He is a proven EPL left-back and his arrival would mean that Bale could move to left wing because let's be honest - he's not much of a defender.
