Dos Santos was excellent against Benfica the ball to Bale for the goal was sublime. It may come back to bite our ass if we sell him now.

Dos Santos looked very much like he knew he was in the shop-window, and tracked back more in 10mins of the game then the whole of the matches during the WC..

the pass to Bale was hardly sublime, in that he scuffed the flick slightly, but did the job and we scored from it... Gio's overall play was excellent tho' and the running off-the-ball was great and nothing like what you normally get from him..

pity he's left-footed, as if he was right-footed he would fit in perfectly as backup for Lennon (tactically speaking)... we use the RM mainly to keep the width and go outside the fullback, rather then cut in as Gio would do playing on the right and being left-foted..

still... if AC Milan are interested, he'd have marketed himself well last night.

Gio looked great, he was creative and an attacking threat, he also picked up a good goal when we were hammered by Villareal,  I think he has played like that every chance he gets, the problem has been that he hasn't been given the chance at club level for Spurs, but for Mexico, he is a real talent and a regular starter in a good squad, previously I had been very worried we might sell him, hes still here, Harry please give him a chance, I really believe he can make a difference up front or on the left, he would make an immediate impact, particularly if he comes on when defenders legs are getting tired, and he worked well with Bale, he also deserves a few starts, he is only going to get better, and might be the added strike power we need up front this year, there was something missing there last season, Defoe needed more support, Pav had glimpses of brilliance, and Crouch gave decent support, but we really needed some extra spark, and Gio looks every bit the part.

Gio is a good player, but not for the EPL.... he's a typical continental-type who can look v.good in sunny warm Pre-Season then fade like yesterday's lilies when the game is played in wintry conditions..

a nice player, but I think not quite Top4 standard for Spurs.... looks like Bellamy bid revived with 8m offered now... another sign that Gio is not on Arry's mind for this season..
