Super Pav, Dos Santos

This season If Tottenham can’t add any Torres like or marquee signings, Super pav should be made first choice alongside Defoe, if we do not bring in any significant improvements on Pav, then we shouldn’t be buying second team players like Gudjohnsen, they do not improve the team, but rather just add numbers, and they are going to harm his chances of starting or reduce his playing time, Pav has the potential to succeed at Tottenham given the proper chance with an extended run in the first team, sure if he then fails, move him out, but to date he really hasn’t had the proper chance and has soured on the sidelines,
In theory Defoe and Crouchy being tall and short, Crouch can hold it up for Defoe, who runs off him, and having played together before sound an interesting combination, but Pav is our most clinical striker, he is more agile than Crouch, and his record for us is more appealing, he hasn’t been a decent run in the team, after his brace I was really happy and thought it was about time he got a regular starting spot, and even got praise from Harry.
The main criticism for Pav is for his mental toughness, and work ethic, he is not happy to sit on the sidelines, Dos Santos is another one that should be given his chance, it has been said he is too small for the EPL but his pace and skill, have shown he doesn’t need to be big, and physical

This season striking options
Starting            Defoe, Pav,
Bench       Dos Santos who can also play Left wing, and Crouch

Hmm im not 100% sure on this one. IMO crouch's performance against city last season put in the top spot for out first choice striker. With Pav you never really know what you are going to get, could be non exsistant or could play a blinder. But with crouch you know what you are going to get and he does his job

Last season Tottenham's goals for was well below the other 3 in the top four, 67 to 83, 86 and 103,  this season we need more from our other strikers if we are to make the top four again.
Pav's goals have shown he has the  ability if given the chance, he is much more clinical. For last season his goal game  ratio is 0.42 whilst Crouch’s 0.28, which is  even worse than Keane’s 0.36.
Crouch bagged a great goal in a big  game to clinch CL, I think every remembers that, and had a decent goal contribution with 8  goals and 6 assists in 38 games, (21 starts 17 subs), was good on ball, decent in  air, but really Defoe needs more support with goals, and assists. Pav scored 5 in 16 games, 8 starts 8 subs,  most times he came off the bench in the last 5-10min, if he played more games  and continued at that rate would have bagged 15 in 38 for the season, and he he  would have surely scored more than Crouchy, seeing he was only 3 goals away and  played half the games.
In all comps for Spurs, Pav got 10  goals from 24 games but more significantly only 10 starts, much better than  Crouchys 13 from 46 games 29 starts, a good result for being out of sorts, and  not given a good run in the team. Crouchys record last season is more  like Keanos. So maybe the question was who was better Crouch or Keane. Don't  get me wrong Crouch adds a different option in freakish height, which  tactically is useful. I'm not suggesting we play Keane, as tactically small and small upfront doesn't work aswell unless one of them is Messi.

Crouch 8 goals  21 starts 17 subs  EPL   (38 games)  All comps 46 games 13 goals (29 starts 18 s
Keane  6 goals  15 starts, 5   subs EPL   (20 games)  All comps 25 games  9  goals  (18 starts 7 subs)
Pav      5 goals    8  starts  8  subs EPL   (16 games) All comps 24 games   10 goals (12 starts 12 subs)

RATIO GOALS GAMES EPL      RATIO GOALS GAMES TOTAL ALL  COMPS
Pavs       0.31                                   0.42
Keane     0.3                                     0.36
Crouch    0.21                                   0.28

The thing about pav is.. He can connect really well with defoe but. Somehow he cant play with the other 2 strikers Crouchie and GuddyJohn.

Ha ha. You included Gud, oh god no, hope we don't get him, we really are going backwards with him, if so hope he really improves, Gud and Bellamy, both towards the end of their career, Gud more so, imagine if thats all we did this window. Please no....

Last season was great, we really did play above potential, we have a good squad who played really well, but how many of our players would make into Ars, Man U, Chelski, or City teams, Modders, Bale, we really need to get much better players in, my fear is they might have to be unknowns or not the top quality signings we are hoping for, Fabiano, and other top players seem to just turn us down, he thought we are no bigger than Villareal, I would be very pleasantly surprised to see Forlan or Suarez come.

Is it a matter of financial backing?, or do we are having a problem at attracting those marquee, 'Torres' like players?. Yes we have CL but in comparison to the others in top four, they have a history of competeting in CL, and challenging for titles and all the top players locking to come to the EPL always want to play for a Ars*nal, Man U, Chelsea.
This has a fairly negative comment I realise, however it is born out of our inactivity and no ambition, balls or imagination in the market, Bellamy, Gud, and Baptista, the only linked players that seem to have any truth behind them, Harry is stubborn to stick with players who have played under him before, or very experienced EPL players, the previous mentioned and Scott Parker also, also seems like half our signings are players who already played for us and returned, Defoe, Keane, Kaboul, etc, lets just preay he is keeping the really big ones close to his chest.

I have a feeling that if we get through the CL qualifier the big names will be falling over each other to sign for us. I suspect they are all waiting to see what happens. I guess you cant blame them, but it would be nice to start the season with a settled squad rather than bringing in a few mercenaries as the window closes.

CL Qualifiers are suppose to be early, will they be over before the end of August and the close of the transfer window?

Ive been checking the dates, we are entering in the playoff/4th round Qualifiers, which are played -

17-18 Aug (1st Leg)
24-25 Aug (2nd Leg)

So the answer to your questions is yes.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

Pav is pure class... Harry would be a fool not to play him. I think he will be our main man this season and his value will rocket....

Maybe Levy is waiting for us to qualify for the next round before splashing out, I think it would be better to get a few players in early to give them more time to gel, and to make sure of our qualification.

I know he played well and scored v's City but i still don't think of Crouch as a footballer. I always get the feeling he is a nearly man, always nearly connecting, nearly scoring and nearly being able to control the ball.

I think most defenders dont mind playing against him as he gets harshly punished for fouls way too many times (not his fault) I just cant see him striking fear into any team.

On a plus side i have been wrong many many times in my life so dont be surprised if he is our main man next year and hits 25 goals.

I'm a big fan of both Crouch and Pav, both offer us a different style. Yes Crouchy maybe doesn't score as many as he should, especially with his head, but how many players can you say that about....?
He's strong, tall and in my opinion has a great touch. Don't get me wrong, his touch isn't like Xavi's or Alonso's but he can bring the ball down easily with chest or foot and find space for the lay off.

Pav on the other hand, i hoping stays also. I think this next season we shall see the real Pavulychenko. After a good long summer break, no Internationals in the way i strongly believe Pav will be ready to step up to the plate and really show us what he can do. (Like in feb-may last season).

I have adored Pav for a very long time the poor soul has been sidelined to the bench for such a long time, he deserves much better he is world class. I hope he stays with us next season. Pav and Defoe up front totally takes my breath away. I am not fussy on Peter Crouch it would be good if he just left and just let the amazing Pav do his thing.
