Oh S41T!!! Harry could leave!!!!

Oh Fook that is not good at all.

Just been listening to Arry on Talk Sport.  They just asked him if he would take the job if offered. His reply:

"No English manager would let that opportunity go. Who wouldn't want to manage their country???"

In short if England ask Harry to take on the England job he'll take it. Faaaaark!!! Not good.

I figured Harry would be the favourite if Capello leaves... Hopefully they want Roy Hodgson over Harry

I can understand Harry's point of view and see what he means. Hope to God he doesn't take it if Capello does indeed leave and the FA approach Harry.

We have some soon to be very exciting times ahead of us at Spurs, I'm sure Harry wants to see the team he helped build success and be the one to coach them to glory

Harry is contracted to Tottenham untill 2014, surely Levy wouldn't let our beloved Harry go.

Two weeks ago Soccernet revealed Harry Redknapp has a secret two-year extension built into his existing three-year contract that keeps him at Tottenham Hotspur until 2014.

Harry Redknapp's side face a make or break game with City on Wednesday.
Redknapp's contractual situation has been in focus after he was the subject of a lucrative offer from Dubai club Al Ahli two weeks ago. Redknapp was offered a staggering £3 million-a-year tax-free job that was so tempting that he might have even left his beloved Sandbanks home on the south coast.
While it was generally known that Redknapp had just one year left on his contract, it can be revealed that Spurs have a two-year option that can be exercised at any time until January. As a consequence of the interest from Al Ahli, the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has held talks with Redknapp about the possibility of re-negotiating the existing contract which effectively has another three years to run.
A source said: "Sam Allardyce turned down the offer, and it was really a non starter for Harry Redknapp because it was flawed, in so much it was conditional on no compensation, and there is no way Spurs would have allowed that to happen with a two-year option in addition to a year left on the three-year deal."
There is no set compensation price in Redknapp's contract, but Levy would have surely asked for a big payment to release his manager, not that the Spurs chairman is contemplating losing one of the club's most successful managers in modern times.

The thing is with Harry as I have said elsewhere in the forum he has the tax avoidance case coming up. There's no way the F.A would want him whilst that is ongoing. Can you imagine the scandal if the England manager was found guilty and imprisioned which is an admittedly faint possibility. I'm sure they would love to get Harry and the non Spurs supporting public want him to it would seem. But with legal proceedings pending they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. I think Cappello will stay for the time being or even funnier would be the appointment of Sam Alladyce, Mike Bassett England Manager come to life.

I am gutted and Happy at the same time, England come 1st for me unlike a lot of people and that our big problem. Look at Germany we have
easily 10 better players man for man but they have a far better team, and i will tell you why.  Germany put the national team first as do the clubs and fans.. And thats the same for many international teams.

Nah, Tottenham EVERY TIME for me. England are crap! Something seriously needs to change with regards to "grass roots" football. The Premier League need to cap how many forigners each team can have in their starting 11. This in time will force more English players into every Prem team and hopefully increase the quality we have at International Level.

Also how many "top English" players play abroad?? Well its close to None, and i wonder why? Why have Barcelona, Real Madrid etc never signed Rooney, Gerrard orLampard? Makes you wonder why doesn't it....

I still wonder why any supporter of ANY club would resent their manager for wanting to manage their country ?

I wouldn't hold any grudges against any manager moving on
to manage their country.
Surely its a step up, maybe a less thankless task when results
go against you as with all games.

However with the hype and media play that surrounded Harry together
with our poor run of results from February onwards I wasn't too
disappointed to see him go at the end.
