Few little details.

From 1998/9 to the present day our most expensive ticket for the small games has risen by £30 from £41 to £71.


The most expensive season ticket was ££710, it is now £1,550. These changes have been made for all tickets within the ground.

Although this year it has only gone up 3.3%-5.6% it is still a big increase, in some cases £60-70 when you think of how much people are paying already.

Mine has gone up another £40 or so and I think it is time something was done.

There has been threads on this before but I thought this just highlighted the great problem, especially at THFC.

You'd think with the new TV money for next season the ticket prices will decrease.

Yes I agree it's a total disgrace. Most other clubs are reducing or at least not increasing ticket prices. We are one of the few to raise prices and there is no justification for it. With the new TV deal in place the clubs revenue will rise to unprecedented levels and if we have European football and good cup runs that is even more income. We don't really have the excuse of player salaries either as I believe Robbie Keane is our highest earner on £40,000 a week which in the scheme of things in The Premiership is not a huge amount. A lot of the money spent on bringing in new players will be offset by the sale of  existing ones. And I do not see the wage structure changing that much certainly it is unlikely to be smashed as no player is worth the discontent this would inevitably lead to within the squad. I would like to hear from the club as to why they feel these rises are necessary but I imagine that with 20.000plus on the season ticket waiting list they think they can charge whatever they want. It's just another example of how the gap between the haves and have nots is widening.
