Pre season Friendly

SNFC began their Pre Season tour of Scotland against Motherwell. Again many changes were made to the last team that was put out. Captain DC76 was rested so Daniisco took the captains armband.

The first half was hotly contested but it was SNFC who would spurn good chances. Rob came close on the 10 minute mark, as he headed just wide from a brilliant Biggs cross.  He knew that was a wasted chance.

In the 39th minute Motherwell had the ball in the back of the net but the goal was correctly ruled out for offside. DazzaTh and Sammy were holding a great line.

An early substitution was made in the second half as alma picked up a knock. LOLT replaced the German Striker.

The breakthrough came in the 68th minute, Craig latched onto a loose ball and ran it down the line. He then picked out Biggs, who lobbed it to Rob for him to cushion a nice header down for Hustle to drive a low shot home. Great move from the SNFC boys!

The second and final goal came not to long after. Craig got free on the right then crossed a perfect ball into the box for LOTL to head in.

MOTM:Rob

Quote from: Daniels comment on the game
I thought the lads stuck out it well today, yes we missed a hat full of chances but we still won. Our defence also looked solid, even without our captain. We're making good progress for the start of the season.

Quote from: Comments on German Striker alma's injury
Alma will be fine, he took a slight knock on the thigh but it shouldn't be a problem. We'll evaluate his progress in training tomorrow.

Another Clean Sheet as SNFC goalkeeper continues his impressive pre season.
An 8 performance today pulling off a few magnificent saves in front of on looking England manager Ledley King.

They've Really Done It This Time!
Non-League Paper

First it was 2-0 against Shrewsbury. Then it was 3-0 against Chesterfield. Now, they've gone and bumped off a team in the first tier of another nation's league! Motherwell was the latest victim of the unprecedented hot streak by brand-new club Spurs Network FC. Despite the absence of Canadian captain DC76, they were still playing to their early standard.

The same Canadian was seen in the stands among the small, but quickly growing SNFC fanbase, and we managed to catch up with him for an interview after the match.

"As if I'm gonna sit around and do nothing when my team is playing!" he remarked. "What kinda captain would that make me? If I'm not playing, I'll be in the stands cheering for them, end of story!"

He had nothing but praise for his teammates.

"Of course they're going to get shots in, they're a first-tier team, after all! But our defence was solid enough to keep the shots on target down to three, and our goalkeeping was good enough to turn aside every last one of them, plus our offence was creating chances - it could have been a much more one-sided effort if not for a stubborn Motherwell team! And what about that Lady of the Lane? She only gets two chances in the entire game, but one of them goes in and the other was quality as well! I gather if she'd gotten more, she'd've scored more, too. And Hustle sure lived up to his name - he was in the defence's face the whole time he was on. Fun stuff to watch!"

When asked about the disallowed goal, he had this to say:

"Good decision, and not just because it went my team's way. You shoulda heard me. I was up there screaming my throat dry, like 'OFFSIDE! OFFSIDE! HE'S OFFSIDE!!' and the flag was already up, it was just a late whistle. I think the fans knew it, too - their response was a wee bit subdued for a 'goal.'"
