I had to remark on the post match interview with JJ yesterday.
Credit where due, it was a tremendous strike that wiped the smirk off several gooners faces.
However, after a miserable second half performance once again conceding a home lead, his comments that "it doesn`t get much better" than a last minute equaliser rankled a bit with me. I can only say,
OH YES IT DOES JJ, IF YOU SCORE A LATE ONE TO WIN AGAINST THAT LOT IT WILL BE VERY MUCH BETTER INDEED, TRUST ME!!!

Good first post :D

I agree.

Here's a theoretical example of what would definitely be much better than scoring the equalising goal in a league match - say it were golden goal rules in the final of the FA Cup against Ars*nal when he scored, and it were still in the White Hart Lane. I think us yids would be singing his praises ad infinitum after that ;) You could derive three other scenarios out of that just by changing the competition, too.

Fine, but consider the mood swing from utter despondency at yet another surrender to the scum, supine performance, can't play against the top 4, can't retain possession, won't get into Europe etc etc ... to the ecstasy of scoring with an absolutely sweet strike in the 95th minute and thus not losing.

From his own point of view, JJ must have known he was having a terrible game and geting stick from the crowd, so it must have been all the more sweet.

Personally I enjoyed the Stalteri goal at Wham fractionally more, after their reaction to our misfortune last season, and for the tears in their eyes at the end etc.

Any goal against the filth must be savoured though.

Yeah but to be fair, if you're asked that question on the 'spur' of the moment, you're gonna blurt something out like that without thinking about what you're actually saying. I'm sure JJ would've swapped a draw for a win any day.
