DB and DC once again with the aerial shutdown:spoton:
They must have had a really good goalkeeper for us to only get one goal. But that one goal was all that mattered in the end :p
And now for another article
SNFC Wins Fourth In A Row Despite Stingy Scottish DefenceVictoria Times-ColonistIn what was probably the most defensive game in their brief but incredible club history, Spurs Network FC defeated Stenhousemuir 1-0. Before Dannyn99's chip-in header from Dimitar B. in the 68th minute of play, SNFC found their chances being stymied by good goalkeeping and stingy defence from the Scottish side. The new English side responded in kind, with team captain DC76, last year's UVic Vikes captain and Canadian Interuniversity Sport Defender of the Year, and Dimitar B. waging the same aerial defence campaign that shut Shrewsbury down earlier in the month, while Pascal Berbatov led the rest of the back line on the ground with four successful challenges. Although C.L.S admits he could have made more of his attempted challenges, DC was quick to point out that the two he
did make were part of the reason just three shots got through to the SNFC goalkeepers.
"The whole back line was good, and so was Dimitar B.," he said in a post-match interview. "I mean so what if C.L.S. missed three challenges? He
made two, and the other three were sorted by the other defenders and the goalies! This is what chemistry does for teams. If one guy messes something up, there's always another there to help him out. And it's like that at both ends of the pitch. Anyhow, this club has big things ahead of it if it can produce results like these on a consistent basis! I'm just honoured to be a part of it all! YEAAAAAH!! SNFC IS METAL BABY!! "
Once again, his outspokenness has given us all a laugh!
