Michael Dawson departs

Michael Dawson has signed a 3 year deal with Hull City for a reported fee of £3.5 Million.
Although not the best defender in the world, he played with his heart on his sleeve, always put in a shift for the team and led by example.
A firm favourite with the fans after 9 years at the Lane and Captain of the team that got to the Quarter finals of the Champions League he will be missed but not forgotten.

I rarely use the word, but for me he is one of the Tottenham Hotspur legends. All the best to him at his new club.

                     You have served THFC well, you joined us as a 21 year old and leave as a 30 yr old, you have been an invaluable and inspirational player and leader of our Club, you have experienced success and defeats, but you never once waivered, you always played with PASSION, LOVE and DESIRE. I thank you for your Loyalty and hope that you enjoy your time with Hull City. You truly deserve to be a Legend of Tottenham Hotspur FC, because you are in mine and many others eyes. Thankyou.

It was sad to see him go, but inevitable, as he fell down the pecking order. Hopefully this is a sign of a new era for the Spurs club. He will get more football with Hull. Let us wish him well, apart from when he plays us.
