Pochettino in - Levy out
« on: May 30, 2014, 03:20:00 PM »
So we again have a new manager. I hope that he does well for us and is given long enough to really make a difference to the club. However I don't think Levy will give him time if he doesn't hit the ground running - and there lies the problem.
Mr Impatient has fuc*ed up too many times and has to go, regardless of how Pochettino performs.
I don't know who would replace him but anyone would be a better option than the one we have been lumbered with for the last decade.
I love Spurs but I am fed up and want a REAL change.
LEVY OUT.

I think the reason why Levy has stayed firm at the helm and Joe Lewis has not dropped the axe is because Levy runs the business that is Tottenham Hotspur very well.

The club does not run at a loss and turns reasonable profits for the shareholders.  I have little doubt Joe Lewis would love to see us win the EPL and CL but not at the expense of the clubs financial stability and on that basis Lewis has no grounds or I believe desire to replace Levy.

What action should be taken is someone is brought in to run the football aspects of the club, who knows and understands the game and Levy left to the business side as if all are honest we cant fault this aspect of our club or Levys actions.  This wont happen but we can hope.

THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

I would love nothing better than somebody in the calibre of Chelsea's owner or City's owner to take over from Levy. But there is nobody knocking on Spurs door (as Levy/ ENIC did when knocking on Sugar's door). What concerns me is that enough people demand his removal and we end up getting a total lunatic in charge; like the owner of Cardiff City or even Newcastle. I would rather have Levy any day than some of those jokers out there.

And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I had this same conversation with a mate of mine who goes to most of the games . I was slagging levy off and although he agreed with the arguments regarding our instbility he answered simply "Be careful what you wish for " .He was right .Levy has been too impatient and i believe he doesn`t have enough footballing nous to involve himself in the hiring and firing of managers and players as he does but as metalanimal rightly says he is a very good business man in the most part.
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

I agree that he doesn't have "enough footballing nous," however, I believe he takes advice from people in the know. Funny enough I am just writing an article for a Spurs production on that very subject. It will be interesting what sort of response I get.

Then the 'people in the know' that are advising him are are not really 'in the know' and Levy is an even bigger muppet for not being able to see that this advice has not helped him very much.

I hope that your article does more than panda to Tottenham's elitist group. Please post a link or copy of the final piece.
Maybe next year...

My article is critical of Levy and I can't put a link up as it is against forum policies.

Most would, I agree, and I have done so in the past. However, there are one or two on here who are more interested in attacking the messenger than the article; which will lead me to respond and the outcome of that is predictable. That wouldn't be fair on Southend Yid who is doing a good, but difficult job, on here. However, I am quite happy to send a copy to you by PM or anybody else if they want it.
