Deadline day poll
« on: September 02, 2013, 12:32:41 PM »
I personally went for Gomes only as he doesn't seem to get a game for us. I wouldn't let Adebayor, Defoe or Assou-Ekotto go as we don't have many other players for their respective positions. Unless someone new comes in, of cours. But, as we witnessed yesterday, the new guys will need time to start playing like a team ready to beat anyone.

I only included players who are generally not rated or seem to be out of first team squad.

Gomes is wasting his time and our money at Spurs. He won't be getting any game time so may as well move with our good wishes. Adebayor can go to if we bring in another striker who actually wants to play for us instead of just sitting about collecting his wages and putting in the odd lackluster appearance. The rest we should keep or in the case of Carrol send him on loan so he can come back a better more experienced player.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

I picked two players: Gomez and Adebayor. But I would like to see another striker brought in.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Good luck to them QPR should win the Championship, they have a top squad and are un-beaten so far.
Good move for both for some first team action.

I agree; good move. True that they are unbeaten in the championship but they got beaten in the cup.

I like Gomes, and TBH feel sorry he didnt get a move.

His career is in tatters now which is a crying shame for a keeper of his natural ability, he can make saves other keepers can only dream of, then a few errors and confidence dip has as good as ended his career!

Hope he gets a move sons we should let him go on a free TBH
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

I agree. And, now it seems Lloris is playing in Europa League games as well? Why can't Villas-Boas give Gomes or Friedel a game?  :-[

Because a goalkeeper doesn't have the same fitness problems; he is not running around all the time  he can play more games. Playing more games improves the player. I would imagine that is the reason why the other two don't get a look in. I would also imagine that Gomes and Friedal get a lot of practice and exercise behind the scenes.

Speaking from being a GK in the past (I had a trial for Leeds Utd when I was 15) the training and the playing puts a lot of strain on your body, launching yourself at shots in the air, landing hard on the floor, reaching high, 1 v 1, day in and day out the risk of injury to a keeper is huge, thats why yoga has worked so well fro Brad to help keep his agility, then their is the mental side of it as well the concentration even when you are not busy is very taxing.

TBH very surprised Lloris is playing Europa and EPL, perhaps Brad and Gomes will get a look in FA and league cups.  My worry is Lloris getting tried or injured.

Would like to see Gomes have a crack, if not just to put him in the shop window so he can get his career going or build up his confidence ready for next season to become no2 as Brad will surely call it a day after this season?

I don't think we've seen the end of Gomes (in lower games) but Brad will be the main second choice. No doubt Gomes will try to look for another club (again).
