I think there is another factor too. Last season our conversion rate from chances created was dreadful, due to the strikers being no good. Also our defending of set pieces cost us many goals, and points.
Lets hope we have sorted this problem, and that positive results will bring positive mental attitude.

The players still need to jell; but they have a good squad.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

After watching the first 3 games of the season, I must say right now I'm definitely going to scale back my expectations for the season.

For sure the squad as a whole has improved. However has the money been spent wisely in the correct area?

Right now I am not sure, for the past few season we have been crying out for strikers, and after the sale of Modric and VDV not only do we lack fowards but also sold the creativity in our team.

I know members hate us being branded " a one man team" last season, but if there was ever a team that relied heavily on one attacking outlet , then sorry spurs was definitely it.

I know we have lamela and erikson to still come in to the team, but currently a trio of Chadli, Townsend and Soldado just doesn't do it for me. Poor Soldado is feeding of scraps at the moment.

Premier league title? You forget about that. There will be a scrap for 3rd-7th again this season and really hope that the sale of Bale does not impact us too much at the start of the season as we cannot afford to play catch up.

Without sounding too downbeat, I'm very happy with how decisive the board has been with trying to bring in the best players they can this season. The age group of the set of player recruited really bolds well for our future. Lets hope that they will all be up to the potential that the scouts and management team believe they are. Because lets all be honest, we probably all have seen very little of these guys before they arrive at spurs

To be honest, I only knew Eriksen and Soldado. But yes, the team has lots of work to do.

I slightly disagree. Yes, there is still some more work to do in getting the team to jell but I don't think it is as bad as some people  suggest. I took a lot of good things out of the Ars*nal game.

Far too early to judge but I would say the early signs look promising. I've been impressed by all the new signings that have played so far and Lamela and Eriksen will both add a bit of guile and pace to the midfield. I have seen a few negative comments about Chadli but he is still finding his feet and it should be remembered he regularly keeps Edin Hazard out of the Belgian international team so he must have something.

I also don't understand these negative comments about Chadli. It's not easy to come from another league and set the world alight. He'll get better, they all will.

     The player that has disappointed me so far is Dembele, I think it is because we are crowding the midfield and consequently they seem to be getting in each others way, Chadli is improving with every game and I think he is going to become an integral part of the team, Paulinho is still finding his feet and he will definitely become a star, Capoue has already shown his worth and we will definitely miss him in the next 4 weeks, for me he has been the stand-out of the signings so far, but, as Voice keeps saying, we have to give the new signings a chance to get used to the way AVB wants them to play, and I have to agree. I still think that this is going to be a very interesting season.

On the question of Dembele; I see him either coming on as a sub or being substituted quite often. In other words I think his position isn't that safe. More so when you see the new players we've got.

Good point about the midfield being a little over crowded. Should had Holtby in there for a bit more energy and movement. Erikson will have a lot of hope pinned on him, hopefully he will be able to deliver
