I was right about playing our usual game and we did quite well until Walker crossed an almost perfect ball  in his own box for the equiliser and Defoe thought he was in the Liverpool box and to top it all BAE helped Suarez for the winner.  We only have ourselves to blame. A pair of morons could have done better.

Still, a good day for the scousers and the Gooners who are having  a field day on several forums.

Such a wasted chance to heap some pressure on Chelsea and Ars*nal today. I felt the team had played well and especially at the start of the 2nd half we look like the much better team. 2 sloppy goals to give away makes it so disappointing. But a couple times we were giving away the ball in dangerous areas.

Team really needs to bounce back quick or it could all end in tears again. Defoe was poor again today

I agree and I agree about Defoe. He needs to score and score soon.

I would like to see 2 new strikers for next season ship out Defoe and Ade, Defoe lacks consistency as he is good for 5 games and shyte for the other 33 and Ade just cant seem to be arsed.

I would now like to be proven wrong in the next 9 EPL games!

Couldn't agree more for the need of 2 strikers to replace Defoe and Adebayor.
Both non performers in my opinion.

But how long have we had strikers on our wish list ..?

Defoe has never been great, pops up with the odd valuable contribution every now and again but other than that not good enough for us and our ambitions IMO.  And Ade well.... no comment.

Decent strikers dont come cheap transfer fee or wages I think that may be the issue or maybe our scouts can dig up another Berbatov type player but not with the personality please.

Defoe is simply incapable of playing up front alone.

Defoe is simply incapable of playing up front alone.

The thing is he was ok with that system before hand.... so what has changed? Has he got slower or has Bale been given priority?

He was ok for about 3 games, usual Defoe standard

Well we certainly didn't get tonked on Sunday. Had Siggy taken at least one, if not both his glorious chances, then we would have tonked Liverpool for sure, as they were about to collapse at 2-1.
Unfortunately, not for the first time, we managed to let them back into the game, completely against the run of play, when we were completely in control.
We must be the only team ever to create 4 goals in a 5 goal game, and lose 3-2. If only Defoe could pass like that at the other end.

There is such overwhelming pressure for us to get into top 4 again that none of us can relax until its over, when probably more people will post when there's nothing negative left to say ( unless of course we don't make it !! )

Somehow it dosen't seem like deja vu this year. We are playing far better than we were at this stage, we just got unlucky on Sunday.

The striker situation is very poor, for sure. On the plus side, Verthonghen, Dawson, Dembele, Parker, Bale, Lennon are all playing better then a few weeks ago so that as a team we are stronger I feel.

RSS61,
I think we are in a far better position, and playing better than we were at this time last year, it is just so frustrating given that we could have exerted more pressure on Chelski, Arse and Man City had  we have won on Sunday. It is a wasted opportunity and so dis-appointing given that we were cruising   at 2-1, and then Walker has his brain fade, and all of a sudden the game changes. A real PISSER.

I just hope that we don't pay the consequences for the loss of those points
at the end of the season as I expect a close run thing.
