Reading fan Chat - Spurs V Reading (01/01/2012)
« on: December 30, 2012, 01:51:39 PM »
A warm hello once again to all Spurs fans – for those who don’t know me yet, it’s a Royals fan 100% in peace on here regularly this season, and I represent Reading’s ‘Royals Rendezvous’.  It would be really interesting for us to have any general comments from you, like how you see the game going and general thoughts on your own team, and your (honest!) opinion of Reading.

We’ve always prided ourselves on in-depth match presentations, which largely feature on the team we are playing and not on ourselves. I hope you might all enjoy browsing it this week –

Trust me, our members love to hear what other fans have to say, there are no ‘Wums’ on RR.

I know some people don’t particularly like other fans producing a shopping list of questions to answer, and I perfectly understand that, so I leave any comments freely and totally with you. But if you like, these simple following ideas might be used as a very basic guide in case you’d like to write to something slightly longer:

A] What do you feel are currently the strongest areas of YOUR squad, and who should Reading individually look out for / fear most?
B] Any young stars coming through the academy that we should keep an eye on, now or in the future? Any thoughts on the new national U21 leagues, congratulations on such a fine showing in the first stages winning your group of course, you’re now into the Elite Division …
C] Well, it’s a re-run of last season at the top of the premier so far, both Manchester clubs are really turning the heat on, but I should like as a genuine fan to say how impressed I am with your own season – real dark horses, and we Royals still remember clearly how you outplayed us earlier in the season! So … where do you think you can finish at the end of the season if all goes well?
D] How strong do you see the general level of the premier this season, and any surprises for you? What about Reading FC and our current football (you can be honest!) – do you frankly see us surviving, when there is already a nasty table position for us? ...

Many thanks, here’s to a good game! I’ll be looking in daily, so likewise, any questions from you - just pop them on this thread …

A)I feel that are strongest areas are Midfield & Upfront. Sadly Bale is out for this game,Sandro has been awesome this season.Upfront Defoe is are main force, the little guy always get in the right places. He will be a handful for you as you saw in are 3-1 early in the season

B)We have mainly sent out are young-guns out on loan,Livermore does get on the bench at times.

C)Its very tight for the Champions league places at the mo,Im sure Ars*nal & Chelsea will be up there. I think we will have to beat them both to get 4th place. It will be tight as always. Not forgetting Everton there going to be up there this season

D)West Brom,Swansea & Norwich are doing great for what funds they have. They always fight for points.
As for your selfs you have shown you can score goals, but letting in far too many goals. You had a good result against West ham and hopyfully you can kick on,but not on New years day. Win your home games and battle hard away from home.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

Welcome Back Diabo.

A.)   With Bale out of the game our strongest threat will come from Defoe and I think Lennon is starting to show more belief in his abilities. Also Sandro has done well for us, but Dembele looks full of potential but is not running at 100% just yet.

B.)    I think Livermore and Carroll are our brightest youngsters. Kane may still develop into a talent but is not there yet.

C.)   I think that 4th is a possibility but there are a number of clubs all within a shout of that last CL spot. You can never rule out Ars*nal and Everton look far more consistent this year. I do not think West Brom will maintain their early form and Liverpool are too shakey, unless they strengthen well in January.

D.)   I think the quality of the league so far has not been of the same quality as last year. The top sides are dropping more points than you would expect, as well as playing badly and getting away with it in other games. So in many ways, although the standard is not as high, the games are tougher as there are more teams playing at a similar level. I am afraid I do not see Reading surviving. But think they should stick with McDermott and let him bring you up again next year. You have a good philosophy and should stick to it. With more experience and a little more quality you will do better next time. I wish you well. P.S. I think Pogrebynak will come good for you.
Maybe next year...
