Dimexi, look on 10 different sites and you will get different figures, Spurs do not announce the figures them selves. You have chosen the site that suits your purposes.

Is that what you did?
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

As always you are talking total Bollox dressed up as your infallible mistruth.

1. I clearly stated that there are differences depending on what source you look at. (but are within a degree of accuracy)

2. I gave the site, whose data I used so it was clear that it was from a reasonably accurate site and that my figures could be checked if needed.

3. I gave the site whose data I used... As in I gave some evidence (acknowledged potential discrepancy) a method that I cannot recall you ever actually doing. In fact I have asked you before to give some sources for your verbal diarrhea but is not forthcoming. Please show me some evidence, with quoted sources that supports your claims that Spurs are like West Brom and Wigan.

4. If you would like I could look at a number of sources and find an average of my averages, just to make sure my results are significantly more accurate. But thought that the value of the information was in highlighting the trends.

5. You have actually offended me with your claim that I would select data that supports my argument. You are 100% wrong in every possible way. I would like you to withdraw that accusation. Actually I typed in transfer history Tottenham Hotspurs and that site came out first.

6. Just to be clear please tell me a site that shows that I am not accurate in my analysis (to within a realistically significant difference).

See previous comment. Why would I bother to calculate the data on 10 sites and then select the best one. If I had looked on 10 sites, I would have quoted 10 sites. I have no agenda here just try and share what I find out. I am always happy to re-evaluate what I have said, am able to change my opinions and welcome being proven inaccurate when someone has the knowledge, information and ability to do so. Being wrong is the best way to learn. But I will not change my stance because someone makes unintelligent and unsupported claims saying that they are right because they are!

So as yet, no credible defence from the 'real moron' aka Baldbloke. It is therefore left to me, to put up a realistic opposition to my own evidence. Giving a balanced argument which again highlights the inadequacies of others in their ability to actually put forward some counter arguments that would challenge my views.

So I have tried to look on ten different sites but could only find another 3 that allowed me to look back to 2005. If you can find anymore let me know. So the best site which is closer to the real moron's claims was found on www.myfootballfacts.com but is still a long way off. However, going in the opposite direction which dwarfs my data can be found on www.transfermarket.co.uk

           myfootballfacts.com         soccerbase.com        transfermarket.co.uk        transferleague.co.uk

AS             343.92                             309.25                          419.72                               334.7

AO              42.99                                38.65                            52.46                                 78.65

ANS              5.59                                 11.53                            23.52                                 9.83

So we can either find the mean average for these figures giving:

AS 351.89

AO 53.19

ANS 12.62

Or we can find the median which nullifies the extreme values

AS  339.31

AO 47.725

ANS 10.68
