He has every right to moan. I know for a fact I'd do exactly the same if i played my tits off and my team players were complete wank.

We'd all be moaning if he said the complete opposite and said the team deserved a win or something :rolleyesj:
''It's Ricky Villa, It's still Ricky Villa''

Cant blame the guy really.

Think he's the sort of player we really need in this club.

Cares about how we're doing and makes no secret of his feelings. Some of players need a kick up the backside.

Any views on this?

The guy is absolutely right! Surely, MJ should be saying these harsh words, but he is always keeping critiques down and "looking for the next game" ...

WE NEED THAT COLD SHOWER AT DEFENSE TO WAKE UP !!!

I only hope that Berbatov's words don't affect the attitude of the team towards him, though.

Ledley's back so it will gradually improve also ekottos back soon

So soon we'll av our 1st choice defence and i think we'll stop leaking as many goals then... So no worries:em3600:
Get Moussa Sissoko In Spurs!!!!

And come on City, break that bloomin' top 4!

Yeah he has a right to complain as we keep making silly errors in defence. Chimbonda was caught ball watching again............Hopefully in the summer we can work on this and can concede a lot less goals next season.

i think berbas right our strike force are top class always scoring goals and our defence is always leaking goals. We are supposed to have a top calss defence in ledders a dawson and chimbonda in my view even b4 he was at spurs one of the best right backs in the world. our left side is, well we might aswell not have n e 1 there rocha was rubbish there against Ars*nal and lee young pyo and ekotto arnt n e were near as good as the rest of our defence

He is right. We've struggled to keep a clean sheet all season and our defence of set pieces is especially poor, as was proved again on Saturday. In fact I seem to remember Berbatov making clearances himself in that match, he shouldn't have to be worrying about anything other than scoring goals which he does best.

Agree with you about MJ. I just hope he`s saying these things to the players in private at least... it doesn`t all have to be for the cameras.
As far as Berbo`s remarks, I certainly hope not, if a senior player feels that some of the others are coming up short, I`d expect them to take that on the chin and knuckle down.

Very few managers will criticise players publicly. It's not a good morale booster if they come out and say that an individual didn't play well but I'm certain that MJ would have torn right into them in the dressing room. Having said that we are down to the bare bones defensively so we are having to do the best with what we have.
Berbatov was spot on with his criticism though and the fact that he was talking about next season gives me confidence that he will still be with us next year.

It needed to be said, we have made some horrible mistakes lately. Think about it "calamity James" might regain his England shirt for keeping so many clean sheets, when did Paul Robinson last get 2 clean sheets in a row?

FECKIN EH BERBY!!

Come on, you gotta have a guy who calls his team out when they aren't performing! A goalkeeper can only be so much better than the worst of his defenders, and our defence looked shaky in the flanks against Ars*nal. So props to Blagoevgrad's Best for telling it like it is.

He's only saying what every one else is thinking....actually not thinking, SHOUTING!  That's if they were in fact 'his' words. It was the Sun after all.
