With rumours of Gareth Bale's imminent transfer to Barcelona Tottenham Hotspur labelled him with a pricetag of £40 m +. Reports say this may have scared FC Barcelona off for a while we can only pray it's true... your thoughts?

I think he'll stay for another couple of years. He needs to continue his development here and reward the faith shown in him. After he's won us the league he can go and sit on the bench in Spain for another couple of years.

I agree with JidJoe. I don't think Bale would have a guaranteed first XI slot in Barcelona nor Real and he knows it. And as he seems to be the playing-football-as-much-as-possible type instead of sitting-and-collecting-wages type, I'm pretty sure he will stay.
