Now John Terry has been axed as England Captain (again)!!!

He could be as he has captained West Ham and Newcastle. The only problem with him is that he only has 10 caps to his name. So, probably Steven Gerrard will be appointed again and I personally have nothing against it.

Terry should still be captain, failing that Scotty should be given it, however as Gerrard is vise captain he will get it.

The Captains role in football is over rated anyway they lead the team out, swap pennents and toss a coin whilst they have a picture taken, a monkey could do it. All this nonsense about leadership and inspiration is just cobblers. If you are playing for your Country that should be motivation enough.

Te captain should carry a stun gun, and if any players aren't playing well or trying hard enough, the captain could give 40,000 volts.

Spot on.

Its only the English(no offence,to the english on here)that make a big deal about it...any other country are not that bothered about it.

Just give it to Joe Hart and forget about it, it's  mainly a ceremonial thing now anyway.

Long gone are the days of players showing passion and playing for the shirt, it's all about their media profile and perception in the game now.

Derry is spot on we make so much of it and its a load of crap, just give it to Hart or the player with the most caps like other countries do. FFS we don't even have an English manager let alone any pride or passion anymore, I bet if you ask all the members on this forum most of you couldn't give a rats ass how England get on !!!!

Start the campaign now Alan Pardew for England Manager
