Its not enough, we are looking to continue to develop and progress 40 mill for Bale shouldnt even be considered IMO but for those who the money matters too at the club may consider it on a business note.

I also think it would be a bad move for Bale career develpoment wise too!

Totally agree, but I would ask them to double their bid first and if they did then I'd tell them to do one !!!!!!

Current gossip from Italy: Inter seem to be planning to spend their money on Modric. I hate to say it but Italy is the place for Modric. He'd have that extra bit of time on the ball, and less defensive duties.

After his epic performance at San Siro, Milan, Inter and Roma are all interested in Sandro, while Roma and Lazio are after Kranjcar. There was a half-day article in yesterdays sports paper saying Roma are also after Lennon.  A lot of this is probably just rumours but after years of never hearing a Spurs player mentioned, it is a good sign to see our lads in demand (really or virtually). Let's hope we can hold on to them!

It is also reported that Roma turned down an offer of around £8m for Vucinic in the January window. He's been sulking since and turned in some dreadful performances, and is expected to leave.

Buongiorno!

Lets hope we keep Modders............our best player this season by a mile.........hopefully he will get the Player of the season award on Sunday. Sandro must stay. Bale may well go, and we seem to cope ok without him. Lennon though I would want to keep.
Its great that we are getting so much press in Italia (my heritage - raised there and only came back to England for Schooling).

Ciao!

Ciao Holtspur! I agree that Modric must stay. Sane for VdV. If an astronomical offer comes in for Bale then I'd temd to agree to sell him. If he stays and has an average season, or another injury plagued one,  then his value will plummet.

One nice aspect of listening to commentary in Italian is that you get good and unbiased judgements. They adore VdV, Modric and Bale, just as they understand Gomez is a clown and can't work out why he is in the team rather than that old but relaibl Italian Cudicini. They are in general full of praise for Spurs, and during the West Brom game they were raving that we were passing it around like Barcelona!
