Preparing for the Post-Bale era
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:56:42 PM »
try as we might to wish this away, but certain realities are now well manifested in the Spurs hierachy.... its not even if Bale goes, its for how much and where.... if you doubt this, just look at the movement behind the scenes at WHL...

as well as recently getting in Pienaar who can play LM excellently, we also have a Bale Mk. II ready to now develop in the shape of Andros Townsend: pacy, near 6ft, athletic-build, left-footer, plays mainly as a left-winger but can play rightside too....oh.... this one even packs a wallop with his right foot (so an upgrade on the original there then)...

as well as Pienaar, there is alot of buzz surrounding Ivan Rakitic... yet another predominantly leftsided player, Croatian with skill and great experience.... and now we may even go go Guiseppe Rossi: fast, left-footer, yet another to little to play as a centre-forward.... so why are we still looking at wide-middies cum 2nd-strikers ??

its obvious..... time to cash in on Bale. Arry was briefed to prepare for this way back in the summer. hence the need to stock up well in the wide-slots..... we need a proper world-class forward, we have already had a loan/buy deal for Benzema refused by RM, who covet Bale..... all the other options for World-class strikers available are closing fast..... Benzema will be swapped for Bale..

expect it to happen.... sooner than you think..

As soon as I was notified of this thread via twitter I knew it was you keown. Clue was in the title. Provocative yet pathetic. Heres a few future titles you can use. "modric says his heart lies elsewhere" or -vdv longs to play under alex ferguson" or this likely one of "harry vows to build his team around jenas"
Good man, now  that will prevent your tiny brain from going. Into overload and keep you going until may.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the forum idiot gareth what will I say next keown.

I think its more to Krancjar moving rather than Bale hence the reason why Pienaar was bought in the first place.

2nd Townsend went on loan to Watford if you didnt notice it already.
3rd Bale moving or no will not be a big issue for us for now. I think he will stay for a couple of seasons more before moving. He knows it well that if he move now he wont be getting the same amount of games unlike now.

please don't be so hard on yourself, its not your fault is it ...

Levy knows that without the super-striker NOW, its bye bye Top4.... and Bale will then definately go in the summer...

the only question really is do we go into next season with Top4 and CL...... or not.

I love Gareth's insider information. Gareth, give Levy a call and ask him if he'll buy me a pair of glasses just like his. I think they look really sharp and I'm sure he wouldn't say no to a close friend like you.
