Kaboul says sorry for red card
« on: December 30, 2010, 06:51:40 AM »
Younes Kaboul has apologised to his Tottenham team-mates and Spurs fans for his sending off against Newcastle.
The defender appeared to headbutt Cheik Tiote in the 65th minute after a robust challenge from the Magpies midfielder.
Kaboul told the Spurs website: "I received what I felt was a bad tackle and that's why I reacted the way I did.
"It's not in my nature and I apologise to my team and would like to say sorry to the fans - I hope we will not see that on the pitch (from me) again."
Spurs secured a 2-0 win despite playing with 10 men for the last third of the match at White Hart Lane and climbed to fourth in the Premier League table.
Kaboul, 24, now misses their next three games, and manager Harry Redknapp had little sympathy for the Frenchman, saying: "If he's put his head in [Tiote's] face he had to go off.
"He showed a lack of discipline. Other people will now come into the team while he's suspended, and they'll make it difficult to be shifted."
Kaboul will sit out Tottenham's Premier League matches against Fulham on New Year's Day and at Everton on 5 January, and their home FA Cup third round tie against Charlton four days later.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

Tiote  :tossa: should have been off before Kaboul did a minor Zidane.

Either way Kaboul should have stayed controlled and professional, he is one of our key players and will be missed in the centre, I hope now Bassong gets a crack he is our next best option as match fit.
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Although Tiote deserved what he got, Kaboul should still have been professional about the situation...then hacked him down and broke his ribs later when the ref weren't looking!!!

That tiote is a good prospect however, aggressive midifielders are a pre requisite for success if you ask me. If you can find the balance between aggression and card safety which is a fine line then you are on a winner. Can see a few clubs after that boy if he maintains his temperament.

I'd agreed that you need some aggression in midfield but the boy's a nutter!
