Richard Dunne

Rumour has it that Richard Dunne has slipped down the pecking order at Aston Villa since Gerard Houllier took the reigns and that he is one of many players to be sold so that Houllier can shape the team his way. With Curtis Davies also finishing his loan spell at Leicester City on the horizon Dunne could slip even further. I could see Arry possibly going for him if anything comes of this story. I think he is a good player but I am not sure he would improve the team. What do you guys think?

He is awesome! Although i dont know it depends on how long Woody can stay injury free and if he is cured or not.

I wouldnt want him here, hes to old and slow and his better days are behind him. He was a good player back in the day but there is obviously a reason he has slipped down the pecking order at Villa. We could do alot better than him and i think we already have better. COYS

even without Woodgate.... we have King returning, also have Bassong, Kaboul, Gallas and Dawson tooo.... thats 5 established intl-class CBs.... is there another team in the Prem with as many ??

I thought he was quite poor last season, even 'though Villa were doing well, so I imagine it's rather too late for him to be a serious candidate for Spurs. Also, with Ledley and Woody getting on in years, surely we could do with someone younger. Finally, as we also have Caulker coming along, and the new South African coming in, surely we don't need another old-ish CB right now.
