it all becomes so clear when you look beyond the obvious... as many are apt to do..

Phillip Anchutz the multi-billionaire LA Galaxy owner is desperate for Spurs (his partner in the Olympic Stadium bid) is very keen on securing the rights to the mega-stadium post-Olympics.... Beckham was instrumental 6yrs ago in the winning of London2012 Olympic bid, and has extensive contacts within the London Olympic committee....

Anchutz..... joint-bid with Spurs for Olympic Stadium...... Beckham's amabassodorial potential with Olympic commmittee.....

is it all becoming a little clearer, my beauties ??...... even to yous.... :santa_afro:

Surely even the Olympic Committee are not shallow enough to just give us the Stadium because David Beckham came and played for us for a few weeks.

nothing to do with his PLAYING for us.... its all about the networking, inside-track, P.R, glamour and publicity that this union can bring to our bid for the OS..... that a couple of dodgy porn-barons at a squalid club will have problems countering...

the 2 porn-barons only bought Wet Spam cos they thought a 100m+ pounds sterling stadium, funded by British tax-payers,  would fall into their grubby unclean laps..... now the game-changer is about to arrive...

my special-spy (as opposed to my no.1 spy) in the Joe Lewis camp in the Bahamas tells me today that if the Beckham deal is finalised, then Levy is authorised to bring in a superstar-striker, no expense spared immediately, to boost Spurs profile further and ensure we challenge for the Prem and in CL.....

apparently the momentum-shift  on he pitch is all-important with the PR campaign to go into full-swing into solidufying Spurs as a premium London club on the world-stage that DESERVES to gain the OS, as it will enhance London's standing and ensure the stadium is kept at the forefront of sporting competition (as well as being used for concerts off-season).... readymade 65,000 seater stadium's revenue potential is the golden prize (with no capital outlay)...

the extra few millions for .... apparently NOW...... Fabiano...... will be worth it, it is now deemed..... RM's Benzema-Bale option now has a serious rival...

the quantum-shift begineth... :santa_afro:

That's some real shadow conspiracy stuff, GK. Maybe a grain of truth to some of it. My thoughts...

1. Beckham still has uber-quality and we can obtain his services affordably.
2. Bringing in a player at that position leads me to believe that one or more of O'Hara, Bentley, & Kranjcar are leaving.
3. Gives us CL experience and leadership but more importantly (and I can't believe more people aren't picking up on this) CAN HELP US PREPARE FOR MILAN! -- shows me that we are serious about progressing deep in the knockout round.

I think it's brilliant. Bring on Becks!...Having said all that, let's be honest - he's going to come on for Lennon for about 15-20 minutes a game if Azza doesn't have it that day. This is more about information, leadership, and exposure for the right price -- and maybe a highlight or two along the way. So, I suppose I agree with you to a certain extent GK.
He's strained his left adductor muscle it says. Whats that then ? Do we all have those or just footballers ? I wonder how mine are ? *courtesy of taimedowne*

I think Beckham is earmarked to also play in CM, but Arry doesnt wanna cause too many ripples at this stage by announcing it, when he can get by with just saying he's cover for Lennon... I see DB playing more in CM (but not for entire games) than RM... abit like how Eidur was utilised to close out games...

Pienaar will be the REAL cover for either flank positions...

dont think Milan game is a factor, as a simple phone-call or email could get his lowdown on their strengths/weaknesses tho is that relevant anymore, with their strikeforce now so different to when he was there...
