Kun Aguero

Okay before the questions about my mental state get asked, let me just say that I'm not stating that we are going to get him. All this thread is about is what I got from 'Arrys punditry of the Argentina - Greece game. Pre-game the other pundits were talking about the attacking talent the Argies had on offer. They talked up Messi (as you do), Higuin, Tevez, Militio and Palermo, while Harry was quick to point out Aguero and then went on to mention a fee his club were asking for him. I know what your thinking, "Joe you're crazy, just cus 'arry mentioned this guys name doesn't mean we're after him." And I agree, but the fact that throughout his punditry he continued talk up the young forward. Even at HT and FT he was quick to mention how much of an impact he had had on the game. Seems to me like Harry is a big admirer of the fella, which doesnt suprise me considering how much talent the guys got. Now considering we've been linked with Forlan alot recentley it could just be a case of mistaken targets by the paps. Now as to whether we can get him, wel................... we are a CL club now and this is the sort of player we need to be looking at if we want to seriously challenge at the highest levels. As for a fee, well Madrid are not in the best state financially so they would sell if the right amount was bid. Anyway, enough from me, what do y'all think???????

GET GET GET And next FManager ill be smiling :D

Besides i think Harry is right in pointing out Aguero instead of the usual players (Messi and co). Aguero is Argentina's secret weapon. Where every other part of the world knows full well of the other players Aguero has been non-existent for Argentina during this Group Stage. I believe He will play a bigger role during em Elimination Stage

Ageuro would be an excellent buy, with Defoe being of small stature, with pace, Ageuro is very similar, so we would still need a bigger target man, that the smaller strikers can play off, and I don't mean Crouch, tactically with his freakish height he gives us another option but I don't think he is good enough to start, he is not clinical enough, if Athletico are asking 20-25m for Forlan, they would ask at least 30-35m for Ageuro at only 22, he is a very valued player, I think Athletico would be smarter to let Forlan go for a big fee, and keep Ageuro, at 31 Forlan, he has only a few seasons left, Aguero will develop in to a world class striker, and could play another 10yrs.

Unfortunately after Forlan's recent comments I am not confident we would get him, and we have even less chance of bagging Aguero.
Our top striker transfer targets should be

Dzeko, Suarez, Fabiano, Forlan

Forlan is the most likely of this group, and if we don't get any of these

Cardozo, Cavani, Falcao, Agbonglahor

A few may frown at the latter mentioned but Agbonglahor at 23, scored 13 from 35 last season for Villa, in the top 10 for EPL scorers last season.
