Gio Loaned to Galatasaray

Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos has joined Galatasaray on loan for the remainder of the season, the Turkish club have announced.

The highly-rated young Mexican has been unable to make his mark at White Hart Lane and will now spend the remainder of the campaign with Gala.

As revealed by Sky Sports News on Tuesday, the Turkish giants were eager to secure Giovani's services and a deal has now been completed.

The 20-year-old was tipped to make a big impact in the Premier League following his arrival from Barcelona in summer 2008, but he was unable to force his way into either Juande Ramos or Harry Redknapp's plans.

He impressed during a loan spell at Ipswich in the closing stages of last season and Roy Keane was interested in a similar arrangement this term.

But Galatasaray have won the race for the Mexico international's services after completing a loan move with a view to a reported permanent switch.

i hope he can get some form there and we keep him

I don't think we'll see him again at the Lane. Reportedly there is an option to buy and these clauses are usually not put in agreements without reason.

I reckon he will be permantly moved on in the summer at the end of his loan. Its such a shame that Gio hasnt been given a proper chance because we all know he is quality and can add something different to the team. It pisses me off when Spurs dont play people they bring in and dont use youngsters etc. The only plus is if he performs really well at Galatasaray his value will go up and we can profit.

I dont think so. He's still young and given the track record that Harry has with out young players I think he will come back and next season or the season after we will see the Gio we we've been waiting for.

Hes been playing fairly regulary for Galatasaray, i think that Frank Rijkaard is a fan of him after his spell with Barcelona. I was thinking the pace we would have in our team with Gio, Bale and Lennon!

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

He'll come good, just like bale, gomes, lennon, bentley, modders and pretty much all our players. The first team experience will do him good.

I hope he comes back, you shouldn't let a player with that much potential. He needs a season in the Prem before we see the best of him
