Northampton Town have signed Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Oscar Jansson on a one-month loan deal. The 19-year-old joined Spurs in 2007 and made his Football League debut on loan at Exeter City last season, featuring seven times for the Grecians.
"He is here while Chris Dunn is injured and I'm sure he will do very well," Cobblers manager Ian Sampson told BBC Radio Northampton.
"He has been training with Tim Flowers and we have been very impressed." Jansson has also played 10 times for the Sweden Under-18s.
The Cobblers regular stopper Chris Dunn has an ankle injury and is expected to be out for at least two weeks.
Paul Walker, 18, had been deputising for Dunn during pre-season, but Sampson believes he needs more time to develop.
"Paul wouldn't be expecting to go into the first team at the moment," he said.
"It'd be unfair on him to throw him in at the deep end. He's got a lot of potential but a lot of work needs to be done with him before he's ready for the first team."
