Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios was taken to hospital after suffering a rib injury at the end of his side's 2-2 draw away at Everton on Sunday.
The 25-year told was hurt when he was fouled by Tony Hibbert, which resulted in a penalty that Jermain Defoe missed.
He was released from hospital on Sunday and will be assessed by club medical staff ahead of next week's Wolves game.
"He is a tough lad so it can't be good that he's struggling... hopefully he'll be OK," said Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
"They took him to hospital in a lot of pain."
Palacios has been a key figure for Spurs since arriving in a £12m deal from Wigan in January.
he hasn't really been on the best of form lately.
