Steve Sidwell Joins Chavski!

Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell has agreed to join Chelsea on a free transfer after his Royals contract expires on 1 July.
As well as Chelsea, the 24-year-old Sidwell had also been linked with moves to Manchester United or Newcastle.

Sidwell will be Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's first signing of the summer.

Sidwell, who reportedly rejected an offer of a new £25,000-per-week, four-year deal from Reading, has been a key player for the Royals this season.

It's a weird one.
And please pay abit more respect to the domestic double champions by calling us Chelsea.

I don't understand why we need him at all.. I reckon he'll start in the Carling Cup maybe FA Cup and fill in when Essien and Mikel are at the African nations. However, he could prove to be a big signing for us, you never know. But yes, strange!

Decent player but he would play more games in readings reserves than he will in chelscums first team.I agree with the comparrison to scott parker and newcastle.
