Given time I believe he will add some bite in the midfield. I believe we will need it next season. Sometimes you just need a` rugged Dave` Mc Kay figure and` I think Steed could develop into that`sort of player

You do realise that the LM isn't his prefered position but that is where we have played him on the whole? He's more of a CM/AM player anyway. Looks very strong in the free role in midfield.

I do realise it that LM is not the position he normally plays. Once we get our left midfield sorted then he can fight it out with JJ for the attacking midfield role and hope he starts ahead of Jenas.

I think he's great, just like the rest of the squad, some hard graft and relationship development between the players will bring out the best in more players. If Malbranque could keep hold of the ball a bit more, practise his long range shooting then this guy could be a match winner.

He can really hit the ball, he's strong, he works hard and seems to have the right attitude, keep him, play him, get behind him and I believe Martin Jol and White Hart Lane can bring out the best in him.

Exactly, he is being forced out onto the left where he has to cut in and it is very congested. I think he is a very good technical player and a good squad player to have. A great purchase, he faded towards the end of the season but I expect it was partly due to the Sevilla goal.
