The Mansion
FA Cup 2nd Rnd

Cheltenham were the visitors to The Mansion for this FA Cup 2nd Round tie. Manager Daniel made a number of changes as he continues to rotate the team for FA Cup games.

The strength and depth of this team is a main reason behind their success this season, even with the likes of top scorer Rob out of the team they still managed a 5-1 thrashing over their opponents.

It took just 3 minutes for SNFC to take the lead. Craig executed a fine low shot past the keeper for his first goal of the season.
The game wasn’t level for much longer as Berba’s Right Peg blasted the ball into the top corner. It was his first goal for the club and what a goal too.

Second half SNFC really came into their own, just 6 minutes from the restart Justin did the hard work to set up a nice ball for Berba’s girl to slot home from 6 yards. It was a brilliant team move.

The goals kept coming, Theospurs this time got in on the act, and he brought the ball down with class then turned and shot low past the keeper. It was a goal of the top draw.

Wonderkid Justin deservingly got his name on the score sheet to wrap things up, he headed in a curling dedleysting cross.

Five From Five As Network Routs Cheltenham 5-1
football-league.co.uk

The great thing about the FA Cup, it is said, is you can never tell who is going to go through on any given day. But nobody expects a rout of the sort that Cheltenham Town experienced, from a non-League side. Conference side Spurs Network FC utterly humiliated Cheltenham, showing just how good they truly are, and without several of their top players in the lineup. 5 goals from five different goal scorers sent the visiting side home humiliated.

"I don't know where these guys came from," said CTFC manager John Ward. "But wherever our players turned, there was one of theirs there. They play a pressure style, and we just completely cracked."

Cheltenham thought they had a 1-1 draw going into the second half when Connor scored to equalise, after Craig's exploding from the gate to score three minutes in. They thought wrong. Enter Berba's Right Peg and a right scorcher only a minute plus stoppages from half time. Teammate DC76 was filmed in the stands throwing his teammate the horns after this unbelievable goal.

"HUI!" he exclaimed after the match. "Goal... of... the... YEAR BABY!!! WOOOOOOOOO!! Oh man, that was a rocket shot! And at the perfect time, too!"

The only goal Cheltenham would see the ball go into was their own in the second half. Forward Berba's Girl and right mid Theospurs scored within five minutes of each other before the sixty-minute mark to put this one out of reach. Having started plays all game, it was only fitting that Man of the Match Justin finish one before match's end, putting away a deadleysting cross with a well-struck header. He, Dannyn99, and acting captain Dimitar B. were the main set-up artists in the absence of Daniisco and Lyubokick.

Spurs Network FC now await the winner of the Chesterfield-Basingstoke match [in progress during press time]. One has to wonder if either would survive an onslaught like this!
