any one else think its odd that jol has only ever signed 1 dutch player?

look at every other manager from abroad, when they join a club they bring over players from the home land...not mr jol though...

i say he should get us sneijder,babel,vennigoor of hessilink and van der sarr..

am i alone in thinking this way??

We have been linked with the likes of Arjen Robben but doubt it he will come to Spurs. I have heard about the Wesley Sneidjer rumour has well but I think that a bit of Dutch flair is needed in our team.

I just think it shows that he's not one track minded....like Arse Whinger! If we had a whole team of Dutch players, I'd be a bit boring. We have a nice mix at the moment.

On the contrary. I think that the lack of Dutch players in our team only shows that Mr Yol is more concerned with their quality, over their nationality (unilke Rafa Benites, or Wenger, or Hullier, or whoever else you might want to pick)

Yeah wouldn't wanna see a team full of Dutch players and I'm actually glad Jol hasn't gone this way, although there are a couple that have been mentioned who could maybe bring something extra to the club.

Is a bit strange he's only brought a dutchman over the hill, but i'm sure thats more a positive thing on his behalf. Now he's alot more settled into the club i can see a few dutch players sneeking into the squad.

Also a difference is that french players seem to travel to england more often then not, and dutch players are more likely to venture into the german league, outside of there own. This maybe a reason why we havent seen many dutch men in the PL.

Yes I agree, but i also think that jol may be trying to prove a point by saying that he's not bigger than the club, and he won't sign players just because they suit him, he will sign whoever is best. (along with his ¨english talent¨ policy)

I like what BMJ has done with the squad. i.e not bringing over a load of dutch players with him, just because of their nationality!
I believe if the right player we need comes along no matter where he was born Jol will try to caputure him!

Wouldn't mind a bit of Dutch blood in the team, provided their god enough for the squad, don't want any crap in the squad and it appears neither does Jol! :-)

We were heavily linked with Kuyt at one time I think. Mr Commoli (if thats how you spell it) is I believe mainly responsible for scouting and buying players and he is French. I think he brought Trabaat to the club but our other Frenchmen came from Fulham and Wigan. I'm not sure it matters where the player comes from the only thing I want to know is is he any good.

Yup, Commoli is our major scout IIRC and we have brought and have been linked to an epitome of French talent, we already have Dervitte and now we are linked with Kaboul.

I know what you mean, plntly of links and only Dutch player to sign has been Davids. Damian Commolli seems to have been more active in France of French speaking countries signing up talent.

But dont forget Y.P.Lee is one he sourced from the Erividse and im hoping he has some sway over getting Van Bommel to sign on the dotted line this summer.
