Excellent article, and all true.  The atmosphere at WHL is better than anywhere else.  Long may it last

WHL should be increased to 50,000 that should be enough if we can get it more than great.

I also think that we should not move to a new stadium OH NO to that one we should stay at WHL and make it
bigger.

Maybe I got sth wrong in previous articles, that were posted... but I thought it's clear now, that WHL will not be moved but they will make it bigger.

I love the atmosphere at WHL...it was as stunning as the south-stand of signal-iduna park (former westfalenstadion).

I think, even if Spurs would move 2 a completely new stadium, the supporters would create the same amazing atmosphere as it is at WHL.

But my 1st thought about a new stadium at a different place was:"Nooooooo! Spurs belong to WHL!"
if i had balls, they would be bigger than yours ;)

A very good article as stated above - tho it is very pro spurs so were all gonna love it eh

I dont want us to move,i still get butterflies walking up to the ground after all these years and the memories are all there - also as stated above i thought it was sorted now that we would rebuild certain sections in the season 2008/9 - land around the ground has been brought for this purpose and negotiations are ongoing for a home ground for us for the season?

On that note i dont want to share with "them" anyone other than "them" would be fine,Wembley would be the best option i feel but its a big stadium to fill

What other stadium's could we either share or use?

I say - Let's Move !!

We NEED a bigger stadium to be a bigger club.

That's the most acclaimed reason to move. But WHY is this important? And is it important enough to put an end to the WHL's romance with the fans?

I'd say it is. Reading and thinking about WHL makes us sellfish. The club's supporters forget something very very important. It's not ONLY their club. It is the club of heart of the ones to come as well! And they are both newborn and newly-attracted.

Being a bigger club, we will be able to attract more supporters to Tottenham. And that's a magic we should not deny anyone !!

I dare say that because I am a new supporter of TottenhamHotspur. I started closely following Tottenham only after it became clear that it was Berbatov's stop. I had no idea what COYS or YID was, all I knew that if Berbatov has chosen to move to the club to play in his best years, than this club must be a very special one.

But, time has passed. And Berbatov playing for Tottenham is no more the reason for me being a lillywhite ... I can trully say I am now a passionate fan about Tottenham, who has studied all that I could about its history, landmarks, great wins and defeats, great players and many many other things to ... to fell "in love" with it.

Architekts build replicas. Architekts build masterpieces. Architekts must be given the CHANCE to create the New WHL. The new stadium which will preserve the WHL's athmosphere and buzz for more supporters to enjoy. A new place for a new start towards becoming what we all we know we are - The Greatest Club on this piece of rock, called Earth.

You might note that I have never been to WHL. Yes, I haven't and probably I will never have the chance to visit this incredible stadium, I have only seen on TV. Does that make me a lower-class fan than you are ? I don't know. Might be, might be not. But there are hundreds, thousands, millions out there just like me. And they might, or might not even hear of THFC, if we do not spread its magic around the world, by PROVING we are the best by COMPETING against the best.

We can hardly achieve that without a new stadium and higher revenues.

Therefore, I have to say: We MUST move! We MUST move in order to give many other people around the world, people like me and you, this exciting feeling of being a TottenhamHotspur fan !!

Totally agree we need a BIGGER stadium,but do we have to move to achieve this? i think not - a whole community has grown around the club over the years and what would happen to them if we were to up sticks and just move - where is the new stadium gonna be? there arnt that many places in London it would be possible to build new - do we want the leftovers from the Olympics in 2012? only 5 years away and the ground is reportedly a 60,000 seater,just up the road too but still the immediate community would suffer

Plans are in place for us to increase to 55,000 i believe by staying where we are so surely we should stay and carry on the tradition,a tradition that all new fans will read about and come to love our club through,be it a newborn or newly attracted

Also Lyubokick there is no tier level for being a Spurs fan you either are or u aint - you've publicly stated your affiliation so your the same spurs supporter i am!

A week or so ago there was noise about us talking to Wembley re using it in the meantime - this now looks full of problems with the local council.

Most things are negotiable, so it may not be impossible.

developing the ground during the seasons, stand by stand will be a real nuisance. I recall teh West Stand being rebuilt around 1980, and it led to much lower crowds and a poorer atmosphere. So anticipate it being much harder to get tickets, tickets prob even more expensive in the interim, and poorer results (crowd at WHL usually worth a goal).

If Wembley is no go, we would have to talk to both Arse and Wet Spam re sharing. Like Charlton and Wimbledon did at Palace for many years.

Arse have capacity of 60,000, and WH of about 35,000. OR maybe a combo of the 2? Arse for the bigger crowds, ie v Arse, Chelski, Manure etc. WHL will have accurate figures for each oppo's capacity.

Not an easy decision - Wembley would be ideal, the worst case scenario rebuilding WHL while we are playing there for reasons above.

My shopping list for new stadium:

White Hart LAne;
with sufficient rail and tube links;
Capacity as big as pos, 55,000 or more;
hugely atmospheric;
generating a cauldron of noise;
and I would love some standing areas like in Germany.

I know that last one is highly unlikely, but they work in Germany with no problems.

Oh well, here's dreaming!!
