I think buying two key players would be enough to change the dynamics of our team and maybe one more on the cheap, either an older and experienced premiership player or a young and versatile one would do for me.

I hope that the only players we sell are our worst ones or those whose loss won't be missed.

Maybe next year...

Well if the papers are saying that he is staying then he must be. Do you always believe everything you read in the papers Voice? After all the CRAP they have written about Spurs, such as the players we are going to sign, I am quite amazed you still believe what they say. Personally I believe about 30% of what they write, the rest is normally pure conjecture. As someone once said - "Why let the truth get in the way of a good story"  ??? ???

I will believe Lloris is staying when he is between the posts for our first game of September

What I've read is that there will be a £50 million chest for the new manager. Any new manager worth his salt will make sure he has the team he wants and the money to spend. Levy also knows that to fill the new stadium Spurs must be a top performing team. And that means a top 4 spot.

Where did you read that? Will that be 50 million on top of any sales made? With the FFP teams are going to have to work more within a budget so maybe 50 million will have to do. I think that the players' prices will start to fall if the punishments continue to be dished out. Which will be good for the game.

Do you think we would be better to spend 50 million on 3 or 4 players or just 1 or 2? And who will make that decision, the new manager or the idiots upstairs?

Dimexi, I think to bring in another 3 or 4 players on top of the previous Signings might be too many, unless of course they are current PL players, my preference would be 1 or 2, but, if we lose Lloris and Verthongen, then it would have to be 4 possibly 5, as for who will make the decision, we can only hope that that decision is left up to the incumbent Coach, but your guess is as good as mine. :-\ :-\

According to the papers Lloris has said he is staying. I have read no contradictory reports on this.

Must be true then  or means that a deal is already done and he is off to Monaco after a cracking world cup
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

You should read what I said. I said according to the papers, not that I believed in what they said. Talking about managers, players etc is all about speculation. Without it all forums would be dead. We would never debate anything if we just waited for 100% proof.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Especially with a board like ours who say virtually nothing, even when there is actual news to tell!!!  :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

True; but everything is based on speculation unless we have hard proof.

The lack of information, communication and outright honesty is the hard proof. I do not mean they have to respond to every newspaper rumour (even though that is all us fans can ever go by) but even after a big event like the loss or gain of a player or manager, the information is simply not forthcoming.

Add this to the fact that Levy has never even hinted at his own mistakes or poor decisions and we have a snake that I just dislike more and more every season. Nothing speculative about that, just the way it is.

Dimexi, I couldn't agree more, 100% right, all we as supporters want is to be informed, but, unfortunately that is a sign of the times that we live in. I doubt that it will improve, imo it will only get worse unfortunately. :( :( :(

Maybe he (Levy) expects us to be grateful that he is our director and that is all the information we need to know. To be honest no director of any top football club (at least in this country) believes that we (the supporter) is worthy of anything more than just our loyalty.
