Kettering Town will be hosting a Tottenham Hotspur XI at Nene Park on Wednesday 7th September. Please follow the link for details.

Players like Livermore, Townsend, Carroll, Kane, Rose etc expected to be involved plus other reserve/development players. First team players needing match time such as Ledley might feature. Spurs will confirm squad on monday. Ex Spurs players may also feature.

Reading "World Sports" magazine for 50 years ago (sept 1961) I noticed an article on HARRY KANE. He was an international 400 metres hurdler from Bethnal Green, and an old boy of Hackney Downs GS. In his earlier years he had played for Leyton Orient 'A' team, but, after breaking a collarbone, found he was shirking challenges so gave up football any concentrated on his running.
Is there a family connection? It seems quite likely to me, but does anybody know?
