Lets enjoy it  We might have to wait a while for a night like this to come around again.

So we're 4-0 down? We're still playing Real Madrid in the last 8 of the best club competition in the world!

I don't understand all this talk of: "This game doesn't matter" or "I wish we weren't playing" It's evenings like this I have dreamed about. Win, draw or lose LETS ENJOY IT!  :coys:
"Any player coming to Spurs whether he's a big signing or just a ground staff boy must be dedicated to the game and to the club. He must be prepared to work at his game. He must never be satisfied with his last performance, and he must hate losing."

As I have said in a previous post, I think its just a game to watch without any expectation. We don't want to lose any players to injury, but I guess Harry will want the guys to come out of the traps fast to try and snatch an early goal and see if that unsettles Madrid. I am usually pensive before any Spurs game, but as it is relatively academic as to the outcome, I find myself relaxed and looking forward to it almost as a nuetral! As you say, lets enjoy it for what it is. Next Wednesday is a big one!

There we are sit back and enjoy for once. If we play like we can we watch without any expectation. Unbelievable! Wait a minute, it's 2-0 to us at half time, Madrid aren't firing. Not just another game anymore. COYS

Fair point. Well, despite last weeks results in Spain, these are the nights we have dreamed of and it doesn't get much bigger than entertaining Madrid at WHL. Harry says he will attack and give it a go, and so the only way Spurs can get a foothold in this game is to come out of the blocks fast in the hope of snatching an early goal, then hoping it unsettles the Spaniards. However, such a plan has its drawbacks as it will allow Madrid to counter and that is where they can be very dangerous if they are given too much space in which they can deploy their unmistakably fantastic skills. If Spurs are going to push hard, they must not leave any space in midfield, so I see the wingers and Modric pushing up with the strike-force and Huddlestone with our defence line move up as well. If an attack is broken down and our midfield isn't there to clear or attack a loose ball, Madrid will exploit the opportunity and have Spurs running backwards. All in all though, lets hope Spurs give a good account of themselves for British football and provide a boost for the remaining Premiership games inorder to grab a CL berth for next season.
