http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=ro-fifaproposals090910Apparently Sepp Blowhard is trying to "improve" the game again.
But this time, I actually like some of his ideas. Wow, sign of the Apocalypse much?
Here are some of the thoughts that were expressed:
- scrap AET completely and cut straight to penalties
- penalties instead of draws in the group stage
- four points for a win instead of three- bring back Golden Goal- implement "Silver Goal" (used in EURO)
- remove players periodically during AET
- NASL-style shootout (running in from 35 yards out instead of shooting from a spot)
The two options I really liked are bolded. However, I can see the cons of both as well.
The first and last two are, IMO, absolutely ludicrous.
Now let's hear your thoughts.
