Well id prefer of a more attacking formation with wingbacks instead of fullbacks in mind.

This formation allows us to use VdV and 2 stikers up front and would still be good in the Prem. Where as we can switch to the 4-5-1 for European games. As for attacking movement it would great as the wingbacks can create an awesome triangle for the ball to be passed around and there would be space instead of huffing it up to Pav or Crouch like we always do. Here's the critical point though. The playmaker must be someone who is willing to go down and defend like a box - 2 - box player or risk being overrun by the opposing team. Best formation for speedy wingbacks (Hutton/Kaboul/Bae) with an additional defence from the wingers and DM.

Puchi..... I think youve just chosen either a diamond-formation in midfield.... or youre only playing 2 in defence !!

ive pushed our backs up abit to support the midfield. Like i said its very attack minded if it was me in charge haha and yes its Diamond. But instead of a flat 4 at the defence the fullbacks go up abit to support the midfield.

in a normal back4, the fullbacks usually push higher up than the CBs anywhere.... it happens in every game in tthe Prem..
