Interest in Parker is real!!! Here's the report from SSN!!!!

Quote

West Ham United have rejected a bid from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Scott Parker.

The England international was the Hammers' standout performer last season, with a collection of commanding displays helping the club steer clear of relegation.
His efforts were rewarded with a place in England's pre-World Cup squad, although he failed to make the cut for the South African showpiece.
He was expected to generate interest this summer, with numerous clubs reported to be keen to bring him on board.
Tottenham have made no secret of their desire to strengthen, as they prepare for life in the UEFA Champions League, and they are the first to have made an official approach.

Promise

They have, however, been knocked back by West Ham, with co-owner David Sullivan making it clear that Parker is not for sale at any price.
"I made a promise that I would not sell Scott and I will not, for any amount of money, break that promise to the West Ham supporters," he told the club's official website.
"Scott is not for sale at any price, to anyone. West Ham supporters, for too long, have had owners that sell their best players and promise one thing and do another.
"This is a new era. We are building a bigger, better West Ham and when we make a promise, we honour it."
West Ham have also confirmed that talks have been opened with Parker's agent regarding a new five-year contract.

Great player. I was hoping last summer that he'd sign for us but then most people here were not that enthusiastic. I have to say he had a great season and actually should have gone to South Africa ahead of Barry.

Is it me or is he a bit injury prone? There is something in the back of my mind telling me has persistent injury troubles...

Can anyone shed any light on this

I seem to remember him having some problems when he was at Chelski but  I think he's been OK since.

318 Appearances 20 Goals in 13 seasons including time at Chelski

Not too bad

Hmmmm true, i seem to remeber him going down at the lane last season though, however he did recover to nearly make the WC 23 squad.

He's better than Barry thats for sure screening for the defence, could be good along side Sgt Wilson

I don't understand why harry is interested in this type of player.  I'm not diss'ing Parker he's a good player... but do we really need another DMF/CM

Hudds & Palacios done excellent last season in the middle of the park. I think Modric will play more in the middle next season to with Bale LM

and we have brought Sandro also.

thats 4 good players there... why do we need another?

I think it might be because Sandro will not play straight into the first XI, If lets say Sgt Wilson gets a major injury we need another engine in there and that means Parker. I dont hate him but he is better than he is worth. But injuries might be another problem for him..

Parker is better than O'Hara in my opinion.

I don't quite see where O'Hara fits in our squad anymore with Wilson and d Sandro at DCM.

I wouldn't be surprised of he gets moved on. I wouldn't be that upset either, he went down in my estimations after the FA cup outburst last season.
