I had previously posted my idea about going out to Amsterdam for the cup final. My friend and I got the flights that we booked in January for £64 return + a cheap hotel. If we had of made the final ourselves we would have been the smuggest people out there, in stead we just went out for a good time. The atmosphere in the city was great, especially as the SLB supporters constituted 80% of the fans. Two hours before kick off we were offered Chelsea end tickets for face value. Needless to say, we didn't take them. In stead we found a pub full of SLB supporters and joined them. I have to say that the Portuguese fans were amongst the friendliest I have ever met, and it was as much as I could to do to stop them buying me beer. According to the police woman who checked my passport at Stanstead, the plain had many Spurs on it, presumably with the same idea as me. I recognised three of them personally.
Anyway, it's judgement day today, so fingers crossed, and come on you GEORDIES !!
