Title: Liga BBVA
Post by: Paul Finch on October 28, 2013, 06:32:59 AM
I watched the Barca v Real match for two reasons 1) To see if Bale was playing and 2) if so how they would play him and 3) I also wanted to see whether he would shine or not.
Here are my observations:- 1. Yes he did play. 2. He spent most of his time on either the Right Wing or Centre Fwd, probably had about 10 touches(he was substituted after about 60 mins) it appeared to me that the rest of the Team, apart from Modric, just didn't want to pass the ball to him, unless there was nobody else, I would say they were trying to freeze him out. 3. The quick answer is no, I think he might struggle, 50% of me is Happy and the other Half is sad, cos he is a quality player.
Another observation:- Christiano Ronaldo is quite possibly the Laziest Prima Donna I have ever seen, the ball has to be played to where he wants it or he just will not run or work for it, and he confirmed what I have always thought, apart from being a great player, he also acts like a spoilt child if things do not go his way, I was quite pleased that Barca won, and Neymar, well what a player that young man is going to be, he is one very talented young man.
Did anyone else get to watch the game? If so I would be interested to hear yours comments !

The most over-rated game/fixture ever. Southampton v Fulham was on the same time so I watched that.

No didnt watch but I saw plenty of photos showing Bale looking rather unhappy.

PF you feel the team is trying to freeze him out, do you reckon that is jealousy over his transfer fee and wage or the fact he is welsh and they cant understand him lol.  You would think they would want to succeed and freezing out a player of Bales ability is just plain daft surely the manager should jump all over this.

As you I have mixed feelings first up is ha ha ha ha though s**t you wanted this! and the latter is I feel sorry for him as he brought THFC so much from beginning to end and moved to a team that he thought would be better for his career and bank balance.... so far its only better for the latter it would seem.

Metal, I do tend to think that maybe there is an element of jealousy,(probably it eminates from Ronaldo, who quite clearly rules the roost, and who pulls the strings with the other players) whether the Coach dances to Ronaldo's tune remains to be seen. As pissed off as I am at Bale for leaving SPURS, he does not deserve that treatment, but maybe I am mis-interpreting what I saw. Only time will tell.

I bet that was a ripper of a game Southend, a real entertaining match, and some real Super-Stars on both sides, bet you were asleep within 15 mins. Bearing in mind you had probably just finished night-shift.  ;) ;)

They have. The only team who has a better defensive record than us. It will be interested to see how they develop. So long as not at the expense of ourselves.

Whether you are being facetious or not Southampton have had a very good start. How long it will continue is another matter.

Betis are bottom(14),Rayo(17),Valladolid(20). Just above the drop zone - Almeria & Osasuna(22)

Betis will have to start picking up points or I think they could go out early. :'( :2funny:

Not a real update(due this weekend) but I just read that Barcelona have been given a Transfer Ban for 14 months by breaking rules on signing international players under 18.

The Title went to Atl.Madrid, they got a draw with Barcelona on the final day.

Real Madrid got 3rd place, whist winning 3-1 on the last day.

Valladolid lost to Granada 1-0 which means there going down, whist on the last day Osasuna went down also, even tho they won there game. Almeria picked up a point to keep there selfs in the division.

Segunda division hasn't finshed yet, there are a number of teams who could still go up in the Liga BBVA.
11th June is the last round of Fixtures!

The Spanish football federation says it is suspending indefinitely all end-of-season games in disputes with the government, including over TV rights.

All matches will be suspended from 16 May, including the domestic cup final.
Barcelona lead La Liga rivals Real Madrid by two points, with only three games left to play.
