I think it will be tricky (with so many out) but I think we can pull of a win.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Dembele travelled but AVB says he is unlikely to play.
Friedel is  left in London so Lloris will be in goal.

Some times managers say that as a ploy; i.e. Dembele not playing and then play him.

I believe that Adebayour is eligible to play in this game, otherwise why would he have travelled to Italy, he is in the photos of the team training in the Stadium.

Sure he is, he hasn't been banned from European games. But with Lloris starting does it mean that Friedel will start in our next league game?

Probably not, there is no doubt that Lloris is a good keeper, and I realise that he is the future, but I just wonder whether he is ready for the rigors of the PL just yet, I think he needs to be broken in very gently, some of the things that he has done in the games that he has played have highlighted to me that as good a keeper that he is, when it comes to the PL, it is just a little bit faster than he is used to, and that shows, also the quality of the players that he is playing against are better than he is used to playing against week-in week-out.

I don't believe it. He wouldn't get guaranteed first team football there as they have Robinson. And as it seems, Villas-Boas doesn't intend to give Gomes a game, and a club needs three keepers.

By the same token, what about the quality of the back 4 in front of him

I have also heard the rumour about Friedel and BR, so there is probably something in it. I hope Lloris claims his place as our regular keeper from now on.

And yes, Ade is only banned from domestic fixtures, so he should play tonight. on. :ohyeah:

In view of the Di Mateo sacking,  AVB will be nervous tonight.  A win in Rome is must for him,  for us and for everything Spurs!  :up:

Tragedy srtikes one fellow Spurs supporter in Rome today. Stabbed by some coward. I wish him a speedy recovery! Let's hope the police find the culprits and EUFA punish Lazio with all they deserve: Point decuctions and bans.    >:(

Anyway 0-0 not the final score I would have wished for but we could have been 4 -0 down in the first half.

Lloris was absolutely superb. I repeat that he should be without a doubt our no.1 keeper and for many years to come (no offence to Friedel again).

To sum up a difficult game against a well organised team, we didn't create much even after the subs came on but the slack defense of last week was very strong today.

We are still in it :ohyeah:
