Franco Baldini finally gone; official statement by Spurs.
« on: September 28, 2015, 04:46:51 PM »
Spurs confirmed the Italian had departed in order to spend time 'away from club football'. He will be always remembered for signing the "Magnificent 7" after selling Gareth Bale for £81 million. Vlad Chiriches, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Roberto Soldado proved failures.  Only Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen have stayed and are in the first team.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Well, that is great news. Isn't here supposed to be somebody taking over from him? Somebody that Poch knows?

Paul Mitchell, The Head of Recruitment, is supposed to be the man. He joined us last year having been working with Pochettino at Southampton.

Chadli scored 13 goals for us last season, many of them crucial. Only Harry Kane scored more goals. Yes, he sometimes goes missing in games, but so does Eriksen, so all in all I don't think the "jury's still out on him".

Now he has got competition he has to think twice about his position and how he responds. Pochettino can easily sub him if he goes on walkabouts.

We talk about his failures, but he has some success as well. Son was bought by him (according to some sources). Lamela is doing well now. But that doesn't mean I am sad he has gone.
