An interesting dilemma for AVB against Lazio.
We need 3 points to help our cause to get into the knock out stages,
but don't want to lose either.
So I think we should resort to a 442 with Adebayor and Defoe up front.
Midfield Sandro, Bale, Lennon and a once again fit Dembele.
Dembele fit ?...... so some stories go.
Friedel in goal with Walker, Dawson, Caulker and Vertonghen.
Will leave predicting the score to another post :D

Friedel
Walker Dawson Caulker Vertonghen
(Gallas if not
back from
knock)
Sandro Sigurdsson
Lennon Bale
Defoe Adebayor
Would actually play this side in the league until injuries return.

I agree with both line-ups, these are probably our strongest at the moment.

Dawson has ballsed up on a few occasions and is not immune to giving free kicks away in awkward places. Just the same Iwould like to see him back in there for this one.
I am still unconvinced about Sigurdson. So far he hasn't done much, so giving him a go on Thursday should be interesting.
Glad to see that Demsey is not in your line-up, he needs a kick up the arse as well as does Walker.
I know nothing about Dembele being fit, but it would be good if he was.
Finally Friedel should play this one and hopefully this would mean Lloris is now our No 1 keeper. No offence to Friedel

Pretty much agree with all the above posts. 442 would seem to be our best formation that suits our wide men also. Maybe AVB has also come round to this conclusion ? That his preferred 4-2-3-1 will not work if he wants to play Defoe, which would seem a must to me. All he needs to do now is find a way to leave Huddlestone out - in all matches.
