If Berbatov's £11 million, Bent is about £8 million.

But he's english, so double his price and your about right.

I agree, dont sell Defoe for Bent

Mido out n Bent in could be interesting, hell of a fight for the top 2 spots tho

Agree, Mido needs to go... he'd make a good championship striker in my mind!!

They will never get £18 mill in a month of sundays, I say the most we should bid is £12 mill and sell Mido.

I did not know that being English automatically doubles our value.  :sneakyfecker:

I think we certainly need another 'line leader/target man' - Bent may be the one to fill that bill - if the Board etc think he is - than £10m-12m is fair enough

BerbaKing will not play 50/60+ games next season - we need cover for him

Very true, esp about King, need cover for him. The kaboul deal seems to have died down, he'll probably be the cover though.

Hi Danni  :) agreed about the cover issue - from what I've heard from various message board ITKs (I certainly am not an ITK BTW) it seems the kaboul deal is done but won't be announced till Jul 1 - time will tell as ever - :)

The deal is not dead ... I recon tt simply cannot go ahead before July 1st (meaning they can not sing it before that), as that's when the international deadline is lifted. I take it the board does not want to announce it earlier, as Kaboul is attracting a lot of interest and smbd might intervene and spoil the things.

On the other hand, Bale and Taarabt were both home-league signings, while competition for the new French youth is non-existant ...

Charlton are asking for too much money which he is not worth.

Well looks like Bent is going to West Ham - if he does - how about Nugent as back up to Berbatov?

too much money we'd pay for Nugent.

He's like deffo going to Everton anyway.

What about Pekhart?

I don't rate Nugent that high tbh, we can do much better. Pekhart still very young to be the fourth striker, but I hope he can get a few run-outs like adel did.
