You may well be right, but I thought that only applied to foreign transfers not within the same league that would be open to abuse. Say we had a deal to sign the Man City keeper and needed to win the last game of the season by 3clear goals to ensure european football, then won 3-0 I'm sure questions would be asked. Or the Reading player sticks one in his own net giving us and him uefa place next season. Maybe I'm being cynical but I'm sure you see my point.

Kallstrom flattered by interest

Lyon midfielder Kim Kallstrom admits he is flattered to be linked with moves to the Premiership and La Liga.
The Sweden international has been connected with Tottenham, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Sevilla recently, and he feels it is a sign he has been performing well in his first season at the club.
However, the 24-year-old insists he is concentrating on playing for the French champions for now.
"It's obviously flattering," he told fotbollskanalen.se.
"The interest comes because you have played well - it doesn't come if you are not playing well.
"But I am focused on playing for Lyon. I haven't been here one year yet."

What do you lot think about this ?

Yeah Taimedowne you're right, it's probably only for foreign players.

Anyway, apparently Baines is on his way out of Wigan in the summer and we are very interested.

Tottenham are lining up a summer swoop for Fulham keeper Antti Niemi. (Daily Mirror)

Not needed at all IMO. We have Robbo and Cerny/Alnwick as our number 2. No need to get Niemi.

Thoughts?

Various papers are linking us with Kieron Dyer. I'm not really sure about him but I have to admit that individually he's had a good season.

Lyon striker Hatem Ben Arfa has hinted that he may look to leave the club if he is not given first team football next season.

The talented striker said: "We will ask questions of the directors at the end of the season.

"Today, I need to play in order to progress.

"Will I have the chance to do it with Lyon? Will I have to move somewhere else, even to a less famous club?

"I am ready for anything."

Tottenham, Newcastle and Roma have all been linked with the striker.

He's a talent, seen him come on as a sub for Lyon a few times and he seems to make a impact. He's left footed I believe. Just what we need.

All a load of bollocks. If half of the stuff what we read in the paper is true, we'd win every trophy going.

Villa have got no chance of getting any of our players, ever. The berbatov rumours will continue as long as he`s playing the way he is.United are gutted that they didn`t sign him but they can piss off as far as i`m concerned.I dont want mcann or jarosik.Saviola would be a good buy but i think i read that he`s staying in spain.
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

Don't think Tevez will ever be a real success in England.
