1. I have been critical on Mr Levy on this forum; concerning the picking of some of manager’s we’ve had in the past.
2. I only joined in October so you wouldn’t have known about my previous critical concerns against Mr Levy. I give credit when it is due and criticise when necessary.
3. As for AVB; I think he has done a good job since joining Spurs. This season we finished with the highest points tally since any Spurs manager since 1967. There has been a lot of criticism of some of our players; if I accept that then that is another reason why we should give AVB credit. We’ve ended up 5th and with the highest points tally since 1967 and we achieved that with players that members on here are critical of. And all that in his first season. There is nothing – concerning AVB – to be critical of, but congratulatory.
4. As for the best interests of the “club at heart”: I’ve said all along that for Spurs to compete with the top clubs we need more revenue and one of the way’s to achieve that is by building a bigger stadium; which is in progress. So considering I think Mr Levy is pointing us in the right direction. And of course he said he is going to invest in Spurs with more players. AVB has confirmed this. Of course we shall have to wait and see.
5. I am disappointed in us finishing 5th but under the circumstances I think we’ve done well. I also think – until we get more income – that we are punching above our weight. Maybe we are achieving that because of Mr Levy’s handling of our purse strings. After all we are not in debt and planning for the future.

Yes you have said much of this before. But saying it lots does not make it necessarily true or actually tell us your opinion on the here, now and what next. During many discussions about the areas our team was lacking and in the way that the chairman did not do enough to ensure we got 4th. You just kept saying much of the above and telling us Levy knows best. But it is clear that he does not, as AVB as spoken about the areas of weakness we need to address, the same areas most of us were calling for, but you were not.
I have been able to reflect as the year has gone on, I gave AVB a chance and at times he was close to losing my support, but pulled through it. For me AVB has done enough to give him more time, even though he did not reach the goal I thought was the minimum we should have reached this year. However, I am not so forgiving of Levy who knew what was likely to happen if he did nothing but took that gamble anyway. I don't mind him taking risks on our success but just wish that gamble was not a hit and hope that mediocrity will prevail, rather than taking a chance on greatness by going for the best, with the gamble being they may not work exactly as planned. I am surprised you are also not that way inclined being as positive about things as you are. Or are you also a dreamer that average can outshine quality, that the underdogs will beat all odds?
Now we have come to the end of the season, you said that we had to wait and see where we ended up before making a judgement yourself. Well where is it? Other than saying what you have said before that is, something original, from the heart but also with a view to the facts. I am not trying to get you to say what I want to hear but know when it is true to you and original thought.
