There is a page TopSpurs.com. It used to be a good page but there are too many ads and it's rather hard to find the info you're looking for. So, I'd say that maybe Spursnetwork should have some statistics pages as well - league result throughout the years, player profiles, etc. The info is available on web but I think it should be available on Spursnetwork as well. I'd actually be willing to gather some info...

I don't mind putting, info and extra stuff like that. but the statistics is a big job, it will need updating always and at the moment i am the only one updating the site.

Full fixture list and result list cant be put on because there is licences for that.

Profiles can be done and if there are some people willing to help with that

There's a couple of sites that have a kinda awards/titles thing going on. What it iis, is that in theyve signitures they've got a bar that has their title in. For example the oldest meber has a Father time title, while the youngest member has a Baby title, and they've got others like the most annoying member, stats man and a mr grumpy. I hope this is making sense if not il try to find the site so you can see what i mean. What do you think?

Yeah i understand, that is something that could be easily done, whether it be avatar or in the sig or maybe in some other way maybe in there post profile where where its says Gender Etc.  my old doubt on that is our forum is not that active yet, when we become more active i.e more people post and more of a community feel ill happily do that

Title: Re: What would you Like to see on SpursNetwork?

Not that I can think of, I think you've got advertising covered. But maybe some wallpapers and stuff for people to download, plus direct links to awesome spurs videos, like tehTrunks
Title: Re: What would you Like to see on SpursNetwork?
Post by: YidJoe24 on December 07, 2009, 09:29:29 AM
Speaking of tehTrunk we should try and get him to become a member of the site and then see if we can get him to iclude the site in one of his videos, what do you think?

I would like to see some sort of yellow card/red card system.

I hate the Internet police but a site can be ruined by allowing some troll/idiot/bullsh*t merchant to continue to post forever.

This post isn't just regarding our current village idiot as i am sure others will follow. Opinions are great for debate but there comes a time when it is just tiresome. That point has long sinced past.

There is already a warning system in place. It's not exactly red card/yellow card, you get a few more chances than that.

but if a member gets a certain amount of warnings then they are no longer allowed to post or are banned for a period of time.

anybody from staff or admin can give warnings to members if they feel someone has broken the rules of over stepped the mark.

warnings can only been seen by staff and the member that has been warned

I ve got a idea, maybe we could have an 'injury' section, its not because of all the latest ijury problems but i never know who seems to be out and when they are able to return, so a list of the injured players, there problems and saying when they are supposed to be back, because places like the 'physio room' website are terrible to follow and offer fake information. Also maybe a place where we can talk about our loanees? How they are getting on etc COYS

It is a good idea mate, but my guess will be as good as yours to actually find real accurate info on their injuries.

Could start a thread about Loanees, and then all talk could go in there ?

Im off to watch Bristol City v Sheffield United on saturday with my BCFC supporting mates, i will watch Rose and Caulker closely and give an update. They say Caulker is brilliant and has done a great job for them so far and has been rock solid has bags of potential for the future. There both there on year long loans and they both played for England U21 the other week with Caulker making his debut.

Totally Agree mate make it 50 or something that way they would have to actually join in with the forum and become part of it rather than nip in talk s**te and leave ..... a bit like a certain GK.

it used to be 15 when the site first started.

I guess the only options would be to up it or just remove it completely

The live feeds are awesome mate dont get rid fo them!

Myself along with many other committed posters on this site use them, its sumin that is a reward for being part of the Spursnetwork but with only 5 posts is sumin that can be almost abused.

I like response by Ugs, lets up it to 50 or 30 even before feeds can be accessed?

dont think the post-count is a way around it, cos ppl will just post bulls**te anytime they feel like it, to get around it  :P

but there should be a system whereby comprehensive school-educated fans should be filtered out.... maybe if they can email copies of their passport showing DoB and a School report (to be verified by Admin) proving attendance at a decent grammar or fee-paying school.... I think this could well be the way forward..

just think, no more Irish or newsagents' posts anymore

Hi Guys,

Great to see this forum open again after all this time.  When did it re-open? The format is a bit different and I have been having a few problems posting stuff. Hope this one gets through.

I would like to see comments, good or bad on our present crop of payers as well as our new leader. Things are not running smoothly at the moment with Jose and most of our front players injured. Other than that, it would be good to discuss other PL clubs close to us in the table. You know who they are.

Hi Glen,

Glad to be back and hopeful about our club success until the end of the season with the heavenly sent delay until April 4th.  Coronavirus is a terrible thing and hopefully will be eradicated soon, but until then, time is what we need to get our boys (and everyone else) back on the pitch. I hope I am right in saying that

I mentioned in another post that I have forgotten my old password. This computer is OK as it was saved (office), but I fiddled with my laptop at home  years ago and cannot  post from that one.  As an Admin person, you may have access to it and you could email it to me. If so please let know. Otherwise let me know if there is be another way.

Many thanks

Hi Spursjoolz,

I don't think we can retrieve your old password, however, what we can do is issue with another one and you then can change that password. Or when you go to sign in it says "forgotten your password" and will allow you to click on it and send you an email to your registered address. I'll also talk to Biggs. Let me know what you prefer?

Yes, I agree. Hopefully the extra three week break will get some of our players back from injury.

H Biggs,

Just re-joined after all these years and I cannot remember my old password which I believe you have access to. If so, please let me know what is is.

Thanks
Hi Joolz. There isn't anyway for me to see what your password was before, because they are encrypted. There's a few things we can do.

I can reset it and give you a new one, then you can change it to what ever you like after that.

Or depending on what browser you use on your computer, you should be able to go into the settings and see your saved passwords.

Chrome:

Click three dots in the top right > Settings > Privacy and Security > Passwords > find spursnetwork.com and the click the "eye" symbol on the right (you may have to enter you PC's Windows password to access them)

Firefox:

Three lines in the top right > Options > Privacy > Saved Logins > Find Spursnetwork.com > click the eye symbol
let me know what one you want to do

No much football on the horizon and not much of anything else either. I was looking forward to the Euros but we will have to wait another year.

I am not sure what the situation is with the PL for the rest of the season. Will it be delayed for a month or more? or will it be scrapped altogether and in which case what will happen?

More to the point what will happen to Liverpool?

I can’t see the season being scrapped. What about promotions, relegation, then there are the European qualifications for next year. I would imagine we will have summer football. However, if that was the case, then when would next season start? So many questions, not enough answers.
The good news is that our injured would hopefully be back to fitness by the time the league restarts. I did no doubt that United would have beaten us, along with a few other teams, if the season had continued, now we’ve had lady luck turn in our favour.
I believe the FA are having a meeting today about future events.
Glad you got your email password sorted out.
